A Unified Field of love and soul consciousness lies not only
deepest within ourselves but also beyond time and space. It is also the strong
force within the basic atom as revealed in Asymptotic freedom. The basic
property of this Unified Field is the universal urge to unite and we resist it

There
are two great moments in life ~ the moment you were born and the moment
you discover why you were born. I surrendered during the birth trauma and
stayed in the light of love, joy and soul consciousness until seemingly
separated from it at six years old when I was separated from my beloved
grandfather.
The
moment I discovered why I was born was when I finally fully surrendered to love
and eventually walked into my soul's destiny and eventually put words to a
state of soul consciousness that I felt and
knew so deeply ~ The
basic underlying and uniting force of the universe is a psychic energy field of
love and soul consciousness ( the Unified Field ) which lies not only beyond time and
space but also beneath our deepest fears ~ and whose principle property is the
universal urge to unite.
If
you Google The Unified Field ~ you will find
my definition of the Unified Field in the top five of 16.7 million results. It could very well be that I'm defining a universal truth that we
all understand and know at a deep subconscious level. It is also quite possible
that my clients sense this same universal truth as I quickly guide them
through their deepest fears to their true authentic self and a reawakening of
the their closed hearts.
But
I can also demonstrate that this very same
Unified Field of love and soul consciousness exists within the atom itself and
was recently witnessed in the form of Asymptotic freedom ~ and provided more evidence that the principle property of the
Unified Field is the innate urge to unite.
Finding
the Unified Field was, like my birth, an act of surrender. Owning
and proving it has been an act of courage. Initially, it was surrendering to
and embracing an innocent little boy within myself who always knew this
truth. Then it was a slow process of finding the courage to stand alone, own
my truth, and speak it, regardless of the risks.
Let me
make this clear - every tenet of my Unified Field is based on my own
personal experience and my experience with my clients. Which is why it took
eight years for me to fully prove it, after I had written it in 1979, and which
is why I no longer call it a theory.
What
follows are the three basic tenets of the Unified Field.
Tenet One
The basic
underlying force of the universe is a psychic energy field of universal love,
within which gravitational and electromagnetic fields, the strong and weak
forces in the atom, and all other forces of nature, including time and space,
are merely conditions of state. Within this psychic realm of
love, paranormal events such as clairvoyance, telepathy, precognition and
near-death experiences are also conditions of state. The principal property
of this field of love is its propensity to unite, complete and fulfill all living
beings within a constantly evolving loving plan. This field of love is the
absolute constant of the universe in that within it, time and space do not
exist. Thus, we are instantly joined with the past, present and future of a
universe which is in the process of uniting, completing and fulfilling itself.
Tenet Two
The
consciousness of the observer is the determining factor in being able to
perceive the Unified Field, and the depth of one's sensory experience is what
determines this consciousness. In that regard, our most
profound sensory experience is the total surrender to what is deepest within
ourselves, that is, the surrender to love and a joyful state of soul
consciousness ~ which is the awareness of an evolving loving plan and the
taking of responsibility for one's function within that plan. The Unified
Field is therefore a state of soul consciousness. That state which limits or
denies our perception of the Unified Field is ego consciousness.
Tenet
Three
It would
appear that the pain of not feeling loved for oneself and being seemingly
separated from our original state of soul consciousness and the Unified Field
is of such deep psychic proportions that, early in childhood, processes are
triggered in the hypothalamus which result in a left brain imbalance and
dominance as well as the denial, mistrust and forgetting of our connection to
the Unified Field and the love and joy and a state of soul consciousness
deepest within us. It is from this dark tunnel of pain, aloneness, despair
and apparent death that the ego and ego consciousness is born - for survival
and protection purposes only. As such, death or the idea of death, is an
illusion measured by the limits of our consciousness.
Think of
the ego as a protective cocoon that is eventually meant to be shed. The
Unified Field can be visualized as a grid of great luminosity joining all
living beings within its energy field of love. The words of Longfellow would
seem appropriate in describing this all-encompassing field or grid: "The
thread of all sustaining beauty that runs through all and doth all
unite."
A
universe of heart connections and soul consciousness
Think
of it as a Universe of Heartstrings and when we do not deny love but instead
celebrate it ~ our
heartstrings vibrate
to a chord that is felt by all we love, have loved and will love.
Thus, when we see through the heart ~ the mind becomes
enlisted in the work of an evolving loving plan as well as our part in it.
As such, the path of the heart is inner guided and
synchronicity is the vague awareness that each event or relationship is a
step or a vehicle on that journey ~ which indeed it is. As a transformation
counselor, I trace that journey with my clients and help them see their life as
a quest versus a struggle ~ which is invaluable in their
transition from fear driven ego consciousness to heart driven soul consciousness.
As a licensed therapist and Ph.D. with well over 50,000
hours of experience dealing with people's deepest fears and anxieties, I can
unequivocally state that the experience of yielding to one's deep and long
repressed feelings of pain, alienation, aloneness and despair is almost always
initially experienced as a dark tunnel of never-ending pain which leads to
death and must be avoided at all costs.
David Whyte's classic poem The
Well Of Grief comes to mind:
"Those
who will not slip beneath the still surface on the well of grief ~ turning
downward through its black water to the place we cannot breath ~ will never
know the source from which we drink ~ the secret water, cold and clear ~ nor
find in the darkness glimmering ~ the small round coins ~ thrown by those
who wished for something else."
Time
after time I have had people tell me from the depths of their despair that the
pain they are experiencing will never end, that they will never get out of that
well of grief and they will surely die.
None of
them has died, for it is the ego and fear that gradually die while love, joy and
a true sense of self emerge from hiding. It is no different than being pulled
into a black hole in space, except that the black hole is within
ourselves.
Just as
Stephen Hawking has suggested that black holes may, in essence, become white
holes at a point of singularity ~ so I am suggesting that at the end of that
black well of despair within ourselves, we also reach a point of singularity .
A point where all notions of time and space break down and we become one
with the Unified field of love and a state of soul consciousness.
Elizabeth
Kubler Ross is correct when she wrote " Death may be viewed as
the curtain between the existence we are conscious of and one that is hidden
from us until we raise the curtain ". For we can raise that
curtain now if we stop being controlled by fear and begin to trust the love
that is deepest within ourselves.
A state
of soul consciousness and our connection to the Unified field lies deepest
within us and ahead of us ~ and only our fear of death and the unknown stands
in the way.
As I previously
stated death, or
the idea of death, appears to be an illusion measured by the limits of our
consciousness. This would seem to explain why people who have had a
near-death experience quite often no longer fear death but also have new values
regarding love and the need to be in service.
Only the
ego and ego consciousness stand in the way of this universal state of soul
consciousness ~ as
well as our awareness of it.
However,
we cannot escape our destiny and it is divine ~ and this
is now
obvious both within the atom and throughout an
expanding universe through
asymptotic freedom.
When
we observe the red shift of galaxies outside our local group, every galaxy
appears to be moving away from us. We are therefore led to the conclusion
that our Universe is expanding. This is called Hubble expansion, after
Edwin Hubble, who discovered the phenomenon in 1929.
But
as the Universe expands is it, in reality, feeling an increasing innate
urge to unite?
Yes, all those Galaxies in our expanding
universe are awaiting their innate call to union ~ as the
millions of people on our expanded crowded planet are
also awaiting our innate call to union.
Then, what
is the call?
The call, quite simply, is love or
the innate universal urge to unite.
Let
me use the findings of the recent Nobel Prize winning researchers, Politzer, Gross and Wilczek,
to prove my point.
They
won the 2004 Nobel prize in physics for their studies of the “strong Force “ ~ the
powerful and mysterious energy that holds the nuclei of atoms together.
They
explained the mystifying qualities of the strong force, which holds together
the fundamental building blocks of nature, called QUARKS, to form protons
and neutrons ~ two of the basic components of atoms.
Now,
this is when it gets interesting.
Independently,
they developed the theory and the mathematical equations to show that
Quarks are held together by the strong force which, unlike any
other force in the universe, gets stronger as the quarks get farther apart ~ a concept now
known as “Asymptotic Freedom
“.
The
simplest analogy is to a rubber band encircling two objects.
When
the objects are close together, the rubber band fits loosely. But as they
are drawn apart, the rubber band stretches, trying to pull them back together.
Now, here is
my take on these findings as applied to my Unified Field of Love and Soul
Consciousness.
The
strong force in the atom is the urge to unite which is the principle property
of my Unified Field.
It
is the same urge to unite that Bose and Einstein found
when they discovered that photons (light particles) have a tendency
to travel together versus act randomly ~ which eventually led to the
discovery of the laser.
It
is also the same urge to unite that Teilhard de Chardin speaks of when he wrote
~ "If there were
no real propensity to unite, even at a prodigiously rudimentary level, indeed,
in the molecule itself ~ it would be physically impossible for love to appear
higher up in the ' hominized ' or human form."
It
is also the same urge to unite that loved ones feel when they are separated
from each other ~ and the further apart the stronger the pull to be back together.
Since
I'm a twin, I can really relate to this urge to unite when I was sometimes
separated from my twin in early childhood.
This
would also seemingly explain how the urge to unite would increase as the
Universe continues to expand.
As
such, it is a force that is stronger than Gravity !
Thus,
the one constant of the universe would no longer be light at 186,000 miles per
second for even light particles ( photons ) are subject to this force field of
love ~ this driving urge to unite which exists not only beyond time and
space but also deepest within ourselves.
And
this would also explain why mankind is in the process of uniting while we
seemingly are dividing and pulling away from each other.
And
finally, on an individual level, it would explain the power of love, altruism
and social cooperation and how we can no longer resist our innate
pull and urge to unite versus separate.
Lincoln
Barnett summed up the planet shifting philosophical effect of a true
Unified Field ~ "The
great philosophical triumph of any Unified field is implicit in the first word
of its title. It will carry to logical fulfillment the long course of
science towards the unification of man's concepts of the physical world.
For from its august perspective, the entire universe would appear as one
elemental field in which each atom, each flying electron, each star, each
wandering comet and slow-wheeling galaxy is seen to be but a ripple or
tumescence in the underlying space-time unity. And so a profound
simplicity would supplant the surface complexity of nature. Thus all
man's perceptions of the world and all his abstract intuitions of reality would
merge finally into one, and the deep underlying unity of the universe
would be laid bare."
Let
me once again state that the deep underlying unity of the universe is a psychic
energy field of universal love and soul consciousness (the Unified Field)
which lies not only beyond time and space but also beneath our deepest fears ~ and whose principle
property is the universal urge to unite.
As
such, the universe does appear to me as one elemental field of love wherein each atom, each star
and each slow-wheeling galaxy is but a ripple or tumescence in the underlying
space-time unity.
With the
acceptance of this unified field of love,
a profound simplicity would indeed supplant the
surface complexity of nature and a profound responsibility would be asked of
each one of us ~
love and cooperate with one another which just happens to be the driving
force of evolution.
"Love
in all its subtleties is nothing more, and nothing less, than the more or less
direct trace marked on the heart of the element by the psychical
convergence of the universe upon itself. This, if I am not mistaken, is the ray
of light which will help us see more clearly around us" Teilhard de Chardin
Then
we have Mike Purton,
writing in the Guardian on December 4, 2004 of the greatest religious
discovery of the 20th century ~ " Physicists call it entanglement, and it describes
the state of two or more particles once they have interacted with one another.
From then on, irrespective of time and space, a correlation will always
exist between them. What happens to one will affect the other ~ even
if they are now at opposite ends of the universe ...For if matter emerged from
energy in the singularity of the big bang, it would seem to follow that all the
particles of which it consists are in that state of correlation. They have
not become entangled, but at the fundamental level they have never been ~ and
can never be - separated… Only
now, when quantum mechanics has shown us that all matter is one, that there is
no separation between me and my neighbor, do we have the physical proof of what

In
summary
~ the
great dawning and, I would add, inevitable realization of psychology,
science and religion is that our separateness is an illusion measured by the
state of our consciousness and that our ultimate reality, once again measured
by the state of our consciousness, is the realization that we are all
united and part of a loving and indivisible whole (the Unified Field) ~ and we resist it at our peril.
As
such, those who we love deeply become part of us forever.
Starting
with my twin and beloved mother and grandfather ~ every person
I
have deeply loved in this lifetime, as well as in past lifetimes, still
lives in my heart. A
thread of love that exists beyond time and space.
Out beyond ideas of
wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet
