YEAR END THOUGHTS ON 2014 / ALLEN L ROLAND

Here I am perched on this pale blue dot in space, Earth. Our Sun, which is 4.7 billion years old, is located 26,000 light-years away from the galactic center on one of the spiral arms of our galaxy ~ the Milky Way. The Sun makes one complete orbit around the galaxy about once every 225 million years. In contrast, stars near the galactic center complete a lap in a few million years or less. Most of our galaxy is relatively uncrowded ~ the nearest star to our Sun, for example, is 4.2 light-years away. Roughly 10 million stars are known to orbit within a light-year of the galaxy’s center ~ but we are all innately joined to  this immense enormity by guess what ~ our ability to love: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

As Carl Sagan once said ~ “The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena, a lonely spec in the cosmic darkness “ but I maintain that lonely spec in the cosmic darkness is an integral part of something far greater than ourselves and love is the door we must open to experience this universal state of soul consciousness and that it can only be truly experienced through the joy of heart felt service.

2014 has been a year of service for me as a heart centered spiritual consultant and advisor particularly to young combat veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan who were taught to kill and in the process forgot their deeper need to love and cherish life.

It has been immensely satisfying and I feel totally in sync with my destiny for I am empowering others by sharing my truth from an egoless place of inner joy, gratitude and service.

Earth is a little left of center in the image, and our moon is just below Earth. A human observer with normal vision, if standing on Mars, could easily see Earth and the moon as two distinct, bright "evening stars."

 

Whenever I see a picture like this I am deeply humbled and I realize that my life's purpose on this small stage in this vast cosmic arena is profoundly obvious and simple. My life's purpose was to find, prove, live and share the truth of a Unified Field  of Love and Soul Consciousness that exists not only beyond time and space but also beneath our deepest fears.

 

I actually have an early deep almost primordial memory of being part of a vast cosmic dimension which was seemingly beyond comprehension. It may have been a womb memory but the feeling was that I was part of something beyond vast and incomprehensible ~ somewhat similar to what you may be feeling now when you see this picture of Earth from Mars.

 

As Sagan said ~ "To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

8 STAGES OF EGO DEATH AND SOUL RETRIEVAL

For almost 40 years I have been demonstrating that there is no true healing without love and that the very act of surrendering to love is the first step towards inner transformation.

You don't need to see a therapist to understand this phenomenon, you don't need to attend a workshop to see this magic in action ~ all you need to do is see and understand your life as a quest, versus a struggle, to realize that not only are we all loved but that we are all part of a loving plan in action and gratefulness is the key to this magic kingdom ~ God only reveals itself to a grateful heart.

In my work as a heart centered transformation consultant and advisor, I rapidly point out the people who have loved you in your life (grandparents, parents, siblings and others) on a life chart and ask you a simple question ~ have you thanked them?

In my experience, most people have only thanked about 10 to 20% of the people who have truly touched and loved them in their lives ~ usually because of issues of unworthiness as well as  shame based guilt.

Their homework is to start thanking them and telling them why they were a gift in their lives. For active duty veterans, this can include their buddies and comrades, for veterans form life-time loving bonds with the people they have faced life threatening situations with.

Once they start thanking people, their hearts begin to open and they start seeing through different eyes ~ eyes unclouded with unworthiness, shame and guilt.

As a transformation consultant, my job as their coach and mentor, is to help them go through their fears by using gratefulness as their heart centered tool of choice. Once they have thanked these people, they share their life chart with those people closest to them in the same spirit of gratefulness and now joy.

It would appear that the pain of not feeling loved for oneself and being seemingly separated from our original state of soul consciousness and the Unified Field is of such deep psychic proportions that, early in childhood, processes are triggered in the hypothalamus which result in a left brain imbalance and dominance as well as the denial, mistrust and forgetting of our connection to the Unified Field and the love and joy and a state of soul consciousness deepest within us. It is from this dark tunnel of pain, aloneness, despair and apparent death that the ego and ego consciousness is born - for survival and protection purposes only.

As such, death or the idea of death, is an illusion measured by the limits of our consciousness. Think of the ego as a protective cocoon that is eventually meant to be shed.

The Unified Field can be visualized as a grid of great luminosity joining all living beings within its energy field of love. The words of Longfellow would seem appropriate in describing this all-encompassing field or grid: "The thread of all sustaining beauty that runs through all and doth all unite."

 

A UNIVERSE OF HEARTSTRINGS

This is why most people are not afraid of their pain, most people are living in pain ~ what most people are afraid of is their deeper joy because they feel it will eventually be taken away or lost ~ as it seemingly was as a child or in relationship.

 

Once my clients sense that beneath their deepest pain and fear is joy, intention and purpose ~ their ego is no longer needed for protection and begins to slowly unravel as celebration and service become more important for survival.

 

The 8 steps of ego death are Denial (Everything is fine, there is nothing missing in my life ~ I'm in full control of everything )

Anger ( I can't stay in control and manipulate things any more ~ it's not working and making me mad )

Bargaining ( I'll hang onto something so I won't get out of control and have to deal with the unknown and all those scary feelings deep inside me )

Depression ( Why am I feeling so sad, and it seems to go so deep. If only I could get out of this pit of despair )

Acceptance and Connection ( I'm feeling sad and there is nothing I can do about it but it feels so familiar like I've been here before as a young child or in relationship and it won't go away )

Surrender ( I'm letting go to the pain by embracing the deep hurt and not being a victim )

Celebration ( Why am I laughing and crying at the same time ~ what is this deep joy and excitement beneath the sadness and it doesn't have anything to do with someone else. It's me!

I'm finally trusting my deepest feelings and a growing sense that everything is going to be all right.

and Service ( There's something I'm supposed to be doing on this planet and it has nothing to do with making money but instead making a difference )

 

Quite simply, I meet and touch them, as their mentor or consultant, at the celebration and service stage and rapidly help them accept and connect their pain (through the life chart) and eventually guide them to surrender, celebration and service ~ always using gratefulness as well as forgiveness, as the primary tools.

It happens very rapidly because they sense the truth that I know and they are, in essence, healing themselves

I have personally demonstrated that a Unified Field of love, joy and soul consciousness exists beneath our deepest pain and fears and I have guided hundreds including combat veterans, who were taught to kill, to this same place of gratitude, self-forgiveness, joy and love deepest within themselves. A soul based revolution is happening today throughout the world ~ a spiritual conspiracy against the status quo and a world seemingly devoid of spiritual meaning.

It cannot be stopped because it is tapping into our individual DNA and the real reason we are here on Planet Earth ~ to bear the universal beams of love and help the planet evolve.

It's a spiritual Revolution and it took another step forward in 2014. There are sleeper cells in every nation, every state, every county and neighborhood ~ it's alive and growing and it cannot be stopped.

We are slowly creating a soul based World Order where our minds are driven by our hearts, social cooperation and altruism (the innate driving forces of Evolution) and not by the ego's need to dominate and control.

The universal message is simple ~ Be the change you want to see in the world, the directions are deepest within you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND A JOYFUL REMINDER THAT WE ARE NOT ALONE

Happy Thanksgiving and a joyful reminder that we are but a tiny spec of sand in the known universe but by surrendering to a Unified Field of love and soul consciousness, that exists beyond time and space as well as deepest within ourselves, we will begin to see through different eyes and realize we are all one and most certainly not alone as well as the truth of these words by William Blake ~ We are put on Earth a little space to bear the beams of love: Allen L Roland. The basic underlying and uniting force of the universe is a psychic energy field of love and soul consciousness ( the Unified Field ) which lies not only beyond time and space but also beneath our deepest fears and whose principle property is the universal urge to unite: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

 

Carl Sagan once mused, there are more stars in space than there are grains of sand on every beach on Earth:
 

Now this is where we live within our own Milky Way Galaxy ~

But this is all we will ever see ~

We are in essence mere inhabitants of planet Earth in a solar system which is part of a Milky Way galaxy that is part of thousands and thousands of galaxies, each containing millions of stars, each with their own planets ~ which is part of a Solar Interstellar neighborhood ~ which is part of a local Galactic Group ~ which is part of the Virgo Super cluster ~ which is part of the Local Super clusters ~ which is part of the Observable Universe.

As Dave Stopera, Buzz feed correctly writes "Just a tiny little ant in a giant jar " ~ but I would add a tiny ant with a heart and soul that is capability of loving so deeply that it cannot only feel and glimpse the universal oneness (through love) within this incomprehensible universe but also see its part in this loving plan in action.

But let’s think bigger as we get smaller. In JUST this minute section of the sky taken by the Hubble telescope, there are thousands and thousands of galaxies, each containing millions of stars, each with their own planets ~ and many most certainly containing life forms.

 

I distinctly remember as a very young child, since I'm a twin and surrendered during my birth trauma, a vague, scary and almost overwhelming prenatal feeling of being part of something so vast and incomprehensible that I felt absolutely miniscule and tiny beyond description. Now I realize, through eyes that have been opened through love and service, that it was evidence of my original fetal or prenatal omniscience ~ a knowledge of events which seem to transcend the sensory and mental capacities of the fetus.

 

This fetal consciousness has most certainly been validated through the work of Dr William Emerson of Petaluma (also a twin) in his evaluation of the memory and consciousness capacities of the prenate through regressions of infants from age two to four in order to determine whether they qualified as experiences of prenatal higher consciousness. The results of the regressions revealed that most of the children had two or the four criteria of higher consciousness and many had three out of four while in utero.

 

There can be little doubt that we, as human beings on this tiny miniscule planet in this vast known universe, are the product of an evolution of love fueled by the urge to unite ~ from single cell to multi-cell ~ and by the third trimester we have reached a place of such complexity consciousness that we are in a joyful and knowing state of soul consciousness within a Unified Field of love and soul consciousness ~ whose principle property is the urge to unite.

 As such, we are all innately emissaries of love on a mission to a planet that is in the process of being born into a universal loving plan. Our task, quite simply, is to fully love and escape our false dark cocoon of ego consciousness as well as claim our authentic role within a loving plan from a place of celebration and service.  

 

So happy thanksgiving and a joyful reminder that the only way we can connect with this immense and unfathomable universe is by surrendering to love and in the process realize that we are most probably not alone ~ a theory that could well become fact during this decade.

 

However, I have always felt that planet Earth is the rogue planet of this solar interstellar neighborhood and until we surrender to love and go beyond our need to control and dominate each other and instead become part of our innate evolutionary need for social cooperation and altruism ~ we may remain alone and not contacted by other life forms in our solar neighborhood who rightfully see us as dangerous and ungrounded in a universal loving plan.

 

Jung's theory of the collective unconscious fit within and support my model of a Unified Field of Love which is a universal and psychic energy field of love and soul consciousness that unites and connects all living beings ~ or as Emerson wrote "The thread of all sustaining beauty that runs through all and doth all unite".  We resist this connection at our individual and collective peril.

The late astrophysicist Carl Sagan, and British Science Fiction writer Sir Arthur C Clarke along with English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author Stephen Hawking candidly discuss the Big Bang theory, Black Holes, God, our existence, the Universe as well as the possibility of extraterrestrial life ~ brilliantly moderated by the late BBC Television Journalist Magnus Magnusson.  These three brilliant minds search for answers to our vast Universe which Sagan once correctly said is only bearable or understandable through LOVE ~ because love, I maintain, joins us to the innate thread of love and soul consciousness that lies deepest within each one of us and also to the basic uniting and healing force of the Universe, the Unified Field : Allen L Roland

 

When we see GOD as a loving plan in action and each one of us as co-creators in that evolutionary loving plan ~ it becomes obvious to me that the principle property of my Unified Field  is that very same urge to unite which exists deepest within the basic molecule to galactic space itself through asymptotic freedom. It is then that I begin to understand that the Universe is also awaiting its call to unite, just as we most certainly are.

 

Teilhard's law of complexity / consciousness explains the evolutionary basis of this loving plan and with each evolutionary leap in consciousness, there is a leap in complexity as well as resultant increase in the urge to unite. Teilhard's theory of Plurality, union and energy also explains the Big Bang theory for when we all come eventually together ~ we will see that the Universe is doing precisely the same thing and driven by the same urge to unite.

Arthur C Clarke established himself as a preeminent science fiction and nonfiction writer during the mid-20th century. He wrote the novels Childhood’s End and 2001: A Space Odyssey, which was also turned into a film with Stanley Kubrick. Clarke authored more than 100 books, and many of his ideas around science had links to future technological innovation. Clarke died on March 19, 2008.

 

Stephen Hawking is the former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge and author of A Brief History of Time which was an international bestseller. Now Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at Cambridge, his other books for the general reader include A Briefer History of Time, the essay collection Black Holes and Baby Universe and The Universe in a Nutshell.

 

Carl Sagan was an American astronomer, astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, science popularizer and science communicator in astronomy and natural sciences. However, he is best known for his contributions to the scientific research of extraterrestrial life, including experimental demonstration of the production of amino acids from basic chemicals by radiation. Sagan assembled the first physical messages that were sent into space: the Pioneer plaque and the Voyager Golden Record, universal messages that could potentially be understood by any extraterrestrial intelligence that might find them.

 

Where else could we bring together three great minds, two on them deceased, and show how their thinking, many years ago, could well be leading to a grand Unified Field or, as Hawking once said, there has to be something simple and profound about a grand unified field ~ and what could be more simple, yet profound than love.

Finally, in this world of constant crisis, we have a reminder that we are part of something vast and magical that Carl Sagan introduced us to with his 1980's Cosmos series. Neil deGrasse Tyson channels the spirit of Sagan with his Cosmos: a spacetime Odyssey on March 9th and reinforces Sagan's observation that we are still the way for the cosmos to know itself: Allen L Roland

 When Carl Sagan's  Cosmos: A Personal Journey aired on PBS in 1980, it went on to win an Emmy Award and become that network’s most-watched series, by more than 700 million people worldwide. Not only did it capture the majesty of the universe and the possibility of humankind’s potential, it also ~ thanks to the charisma of its host, the late astrophysicist Carl Sagan ~ transformed the way the public regarded science.

 

It most certainly inspired my mind and imagination for I have always felt a deep kinship with space and innately knew that a deep love within myself somehow was connected to a Unified Field of love and soul consciousness that existed beyond time and space. Longfellow called it  "the thread of all sustaining beauty that runs through all and doth all unite "

In 2012 the Library of Congress designated the book version  of Sagan's show as one of 88 books that shaped America (among the others were “Moby-Dick” and “The Joy of Cooking”). In a foreword to a new edition of that book, Dr. Neil Tyson writes that the show revealed “a hidden hunger in us all to learn about our place in the universe and embrace why that matters intellectually, culturally and emotionally.”

Now, an equally inspired astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and executive producers Ann Druyan and Brannon Braga have launched an ambitious remake of the seminal '80s science series attempts to channel the spirit of Carl Sagan while introducing the universe to a new generation of viewers. 

The resulting 13-episode resurrection of that iconic series ~ Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, premiering March 9th and 10th on Fox and National Geographic channels ~ is both a continuation and updating of Sagan's message.

 

Of course, the new series has its spaceship of imagination ~ an immersive transport spaceship that takes viewers through the universe) and a  Cosmic Calendar (which scales the life of the universe down to a year) ~ but enhances them with advancements in digital effects. Computer-generated effects also recreate the Library of Alexandria and its surrounding city.

 

In the first episode on Sunday, March 9th, “Standing Up in the Universe,” we roam the streets of Rome as Tyson recounts the story of Giordano Bruno, the philosopher who was burned at the stake in 1600 for professing the existence of an infinite number of worlds beyond our own. That's what still happens to truth tellers and that was the early dawn of the scientific age, only a decade before Galileo looked through a telescope and saw that Bruno was right.

Much of the first episode consists of a tour of the solar system and then outward as Dr. Tyson fills out what he calls our long address ~ for earth, as Sagan once pointed out, is but "a small stage in a vast cosmic arena" filled with millions of galaxies and billions of solar systems as well as planets (and perhaps many of them life bearing).

Earth.

Solar system.

Milky Way galaxy.

Local Group.

Virgo supercluster.

Observable universe.

And then we get to hop aboard a cosmic calendar in which the 13.8-billion-year history of the universe has been compressed to 365 days and right now ~ it's midnight on New Year’s Eve.

On this scale, Dr. Tyson correctly reports, the sun was born on Aug. 31, and the dinosaurs died yesterday morning in that asteroid blast. Everybody you ever heard of, all the kings and queens and prophets, lived in the last 14 seconds of this cosmic year. “Jesus was born five seconds ago,” he goes on.

“In the last second we began to do science,” he concludes. “It allowed us to discover where and when we are in the cosmos.”
