During these dark times, I increasingly find myself drawn to alternative media commentators whose intellect and honest words of truth are music for my soul. One of these is Professor Henry Giroux, Internationally acclaimed professor and author, who offers his comments regarding president-elect Donald Trump's mainly white, male, wealthy and with few exceptions highly corporatized and militarized cabinet which could well lead to a new kind of neo-fascism ~ an American form of authoritarianism and autocracy: Allen L Roland. PhD

"I mean, this couldn't be made up. I mean, this group of stooges, cronies and misfits, I mean, it would be hard for Orwell, Huxley or Kafka, to even have imagined that one day in the United States, you would have a government with this assemblage of people who basically as a whole, speak to a kind of authoritarianism that breeds not just misfortune and hate and intolerance, but prides itself on its own incompetence.":  Professor Henry Giroux, a Professor for Scholarship in the Public Interest at McMaster University and author. His latest books are 'America's Addiction to terrorism' and 'America At War With Itself'

Paul Jay is a journalist, filmmaker, and the founder and CEO of The Real News Network and here is his recent assessment of the of President-elect Trump, expressed in a letter to his viewers, regarding Trump's questionable appointments ~ "Donald Trump is not an aberration. He's the raw and naked face of an economic system that showers speculators with obscene riches and political power ~ "I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few." ~ That’s a quote attributed to Adolf Hitler. Donald Trump is not the only actor on the political stage who ascribes to such methods. The enablers of this surging far right “populism” are the leaders of both major political parties and the corporate media."  See article ~ http://therealnews.com/t2/story:18019:Donald-Trump%3A-The-Raw-and-Naked-Face-of-a-System-That-Showers-Speculators-with-Obscene-Riches

Professor Henry Giroux says Trump's cabinet appointments signal a future of more war, violent military interventions, and an embrace of Islamophobia ~ see Real News Network interview with Kim Brown ~ https://youtu.be/xiEFn0Ja6ms ~ 12 minute video

KIM BROWN: Trump, as the candidate, ran on a platform of populism and this phrase, "Drain the swamp." And his cabinet selection so far seem very antithetical to that. Henry, what are your thoughts about, "Draining the swamp." Does the swamp appear about to be drained?

HENRY GIROUX: "He's actually... adding more water to the swamp. I mean, he's not draining anything. He's hiring billionaires, he's hiring neo-liberal executives, he's hiring racists and right wing ultra-nationalists such as Michael Flynn and Stephen Bannon and Mike Pompeo. All of these people are basically Islamaphobics.

He's hiring anti-intellectuals who deny climate change, and are utterly incompetent. I mean, Ben Carson has been hired to run as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and he believes that social provisions simply weaken the social fabric. Can you imagine?

Rick Perry is a climate change denier, who wanted to abolish the department, and he couldn't even remember the name in an earlier presidential primary of the department he wanted to abolish.

Scott Pruitt is a climate change denier and is a puppet of the fossil fuel industry, and now Betsy DeVos... this is a trip!  Betsy DeVos is a religious extremist, who's going to head the Department of Education and hates public education, and has no experience with higher education ~ She once said, Kim, if you can believe this ~ that education is a way to advance God's Kingdom.

I mean... and of course, then there's Linda MacMahon, whose only qualification is she ran the premier pro-wrestling league, World Wrestling Entertainment."

A reminder to Donald Trump ~ "When a man is up to his neck in alligators, he has difficulty reminding himself that his initial objective was to drain the swamp.”

Happy New Year ~ there's a light at the end of this dark tunnel and hopefully it's not a train but do remember that the laws of positive karma apply only to moral greatness.

The 12 truths of Christmas are universal truths meant to be savored and reflected upon for they are the product of over 45 years of my personal quest to deeply feel and understand a state of love and soul consciousness I once felt and knew as a child.  I then found the courage to identify it as the Unified Field , a state of consciousness that exists not only beyond time and space but also beneath our deepest fears, and demonstrated its remarkable self-healing qualities through the power of gratefulness with clients as well as combat veterans ~ by the simple act of surrendering to love and conquering fear in the process: Allen L Roland, PhD

Love alone is capable of uniting living beings in such a way as to complete and fulfill them for it alone takes them and joins them to what is deepest within themselves: Teilhard de Chardin

1. You can heal yourself by surrendering to love. It really is that simple. Only LOVE truly heals !

2. The long sought for Unified Field  is a psychic energy field of love and soul consciousness - which lies not only beyond time and space but ALSO beneath our deepest fears.

3. The so-called laws of science and physics are essentially observer dependent - in that the consciousness of the observer determines what can be truly seen.

4. This Unified Field of love and soul consciousness is the absolute constant of the universe - in that, within it, time and space do not exist.

5. The near and after-death experience is, in reality, a state of soul consciousness - which lies beyond our present state of ego consciousness.

6. Our life is a clearly defined quest, not a struggle, to emerge from our present state of ego consciousness and reunite with our authentic self and our original state of soul consciousness.

7. Beneath our deepest pain and grief is a state of love, joy, and soul consciousness (the Unified Field ).

8. Jesus was divinely human ~ an evolutionary forerunner for a state of soul consciousness we will all eventually surrender to.

9. There is no such thing as an ugly soul - we all come from a place of love, joy and soul consciousness.

10. Relationship is the true test of who we really are - and every love relationship, regardless of the pain, is a gift on the journey to find and embrace our authentic self and our authentic vocation in the loving plan.

11. Most long term therapy is thinly disguised co-dependency - we all have the capacity to heal ourselves if we will say YES to ourselves and not be controlled by fear.

Darwin had it wrong - evolution is fueled by social cooperation and altruism - not violence and survival of the fittest. We cannot escape our destiny and it is divine!

Please note that Darwin actually hated  the term "survival of the fittest,"  and only mentioned it twice ~ one in derogatory terms. See David Loye's DARWIN'S LOST THEORY OF LOVE and similar works.

Think of the ego as a protective cocoon that is eventually meant to be shed. The Unified Field  can be visualized as a grid of great luminosity joining all living beings within its energy field of love and soul consciousness.

The words of the American poet and educator Henry Longfellow and the Persian poet and Sufi master Rumi would seem appropriate in describing this all-encompassing field or grid ~ "The thread of all sustaining beauty that runs through all and doth all unite"

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there….

When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase "each other" doesn't make any sense."

Mevlana jelaluddin Rumi - 13th century

As I wrote on June 4th of 2016 ~Adolf Hitler and Donald
Trump both have been spawned from the same swamp of political apathy, establishment resentment and political oppression and both share the same ego driven fascist arrogance, sense of entitlement and aversion to empathy ~ which unfortunately mirrors the mindset of a growing percentage of America’s electorate. Noam Chomsky prophetically declares  ~ "Welcome to the Fourth Reich" and this year of Infamy is almost upon us: Allen L Roland, PhD

USS Arizona under attack on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor

On the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor , December 7, 1941  ~ The Day of Infamy , I was six years old and had no idea of the historic events that were unfolding globally around me except word of mouth conversation and propaganda laced newsreels at the local theater.

The true impact of the war didn’t hit me until my next door neighbor's oldest brother died in the Battle of the Bulge in late 1944 and I experienced the grief of people close to me losing a loved one ~ but the full impact of war entered my global consciousness on August 5th, 1945 when the Atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. I could feel a global sigh of despair as  thousands of innocent Japanese were incinerated in a few seconds by a man made Atomic bomb which in my 11 year old mind was the true day of Infamy ~ for we now had had created the means to destroy ourselves.

With the election of Donald Trump, the United States has entered the year of Infamy for we have now recreated a neo-fascist regime which will most likely lead to our spiritual downfall.

"With a Trump administration ~ we could see a further militarized border and expansion of Guantanamo Bay" , says globally respected journalist Dahr Jamail. see Real News interview with Dahr regarding the appointment of retired General John Kelly was Head of Homeland Security ~ 10 minute Video

Noam Chomsky speaks of the growing neo-fascist threat in America with the election of Donald Trump ~
On Monday night, Democracy Now! celebrated its 20th anniversary at the historic Riverside Church in New York City. Among those who addressed more than 2,000 attendants was world-renowned linguistic Noam Chomsky, who spoke about the two most dangerous threats the human species faces today: the possibility of nuclear war and the accelerating destruction of human-fueled climate change.

As I have often said, but as Chris Hedges recently wrote we have seen this all before ~ "Our ruling mafia will use the crisis much as the Nazis did in 1933 when the Reichstag was burned. It will publish its own version of the “Order of the Reich President for the Protection of People and State.” The U.S. Constitution will be in effect suspended. Personal freedom, including freedom of expression, freedom of the press, freedom to organize and freedom of assembly, will be abolished. Privacy will be formally eradicated. Search warrants will be unnecessary. America’s emergency decrees will cement into place what largely exists now. When they come, the loss of freedoms will be openly acknowledged and made permanent." Chris Hedges, Waiting for the Barbarians, See Article ~ http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article45935.htm

The similarities of Trump and Hitler are obvious  See my recent VT Article ~

And guess who was Time Magazine's Man of the year in 1938 ~ Adolf Hitler as Donald Trump was in 2016

Another reason Donald Trump’s win this year was no surprise ~ many of the winners have been tyrants and among the most hated leaders of their time.

Since I consider myself a citizen of the world ~ neo-fascism is not just a growing American problem ~ It's an already well established global problem and it's not going away soon.

It's no exaggeration to say that Trump has ties to neo-Nazi parties, says investigative journalist Nafeez Ahmed / Real News Network ~ but more importantly, the neo fascist movement is already well established in Europe ~ See The Global Networks of the Resurging Far Right ~ https://youtu.be/XxN--pDp3X8

Once again, the true test of a person's character is not how they handle adversity but how well do they handle power and that question will most certainly be answered in President Trumps first 90 days of 2017 ~ and his cabinet selections are an ominous indicator of where we are going.

The selection Wednesday of Marine Gen. John Kelly, the former head of US Southern Command, to head the Department of Homeland Security brings to three the number of recently retired generals tapped by president-elect Donald Trump for his incoming cabinet ~ which is beginning to resemble, in a time of crisis, a military Junta.
