OBAMA'S DRONE ASSASSINATIONS AND TPP = TOUGH PATOOTIES, PEOPLE


CEO Obama rules Plutocracy through fear, intimidation and secrecy

 Senators Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown have recently sent a letter to President Obama confronting the White House bluntly on the secrecy surrounding the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) and the impact it could have on the American economy and legal system ~ but in the process this letter demonstrates to me that the American people have been completely marginalized and silenced by a growing plutocracy and that corporations are now firmly in control: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

Here's what the highly respected attorney Ellen Brown, founder of the Public Banking Institute, and author of twelve books including the best-selling Web of Debt, has to say about TPP;

"On April 22, 2015, the Senate Finance Committee approved a bill to fast-track the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a massive trade agreement that would override our republican form of government and hand judicial and legislative authority to a foreign three-person panel of corporate lawyers.

The secretive TPP is an agreement with Mexico, Canada, Japan, Singapore and seven other countries that affects 40% of global markets. Fast-track authority could now go to the full Senate for a vote as early as next week. Fast-track means Congress will be prohibited from amending the trade deal, which will be put to a simple up or down majority vote. It appears that America is no longer a Republic and is already a Plutocracy. This form of government believes a society should be ruled by its wealthiest members. The Supreme Court has allowed a flood of money to buy our elections, rather than the will of the people, income inequality is growing ~ and President Obama is keenly aware of this transfer of wealth and power.

 
As I have written recently about Obama's enduring Military presence where War equals peace, see article http://www.veteranstoday.com/2015/02/16/obamas-enduring-ground-offensive-war-is-peace/ , the case for targeted drone assassinations becomes mute when we realize that Obama has killed more people with drones than the 3000 who died on 9/11 ~ and many of those killed were civilians, and only a tiny percentage of the dead were al-Qaeda or Taliban leaders.

The Council on Foreign Relations estimates that U.S. drone strikes outside of Iraq and Afghanistan have killed 3,674 people. The Bureau of Investigative Journalism reports that up to 4,404 people have been killed – just in Pakistan and Yemen alone ~ between 2004 and 2014.

Many of those additional deaths are accomplished through deadly “double taps” … where the family members, friends or neighbors who try to rescue someone hit by a drone missile are themselves targeted for assassination. There can be only one reason for these strikes ~ Fear and Intimidation.

 

This high body count for Obama's Drone assassination program is not surprising when we realize that Obama secretly waived the requirement to show proposed targets pose an imminent threat to the U.S. in 2013. WSWS has also lowered the boom on Obama's Drone assassination program;  "On Sunday, the New York Times published a lead article devoted to the Obama administration’s drone assassination program. The article describes a mechanism for state-sanctioned assassination that has become thoroughly bureaucratized and institutionalized. It makes clear that the assassination program is not a rogue operation of the CIA, but a central component of American foreign policy, supported by both Democrats and Republicans….At the top of the list of architects is Obama himself, who, during his more than six years in office, has worked to develop the pseudo-legal theory that the president has the authority to kill anyone, anywhere in the world, including US citizens, without due process or any judicial review."  See article ~   http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2015/04/27/pers-a27.html

 
But the secrecy surrounding the TPP agreement is direct obvious evidence of our current plutocracy and its consequences to the American People. To quote from Elizabeth Warren's and Sherrod Brown's letter to Obama ~

 
" In recent remarks, you suggested that critics of the TPP are "dishonest" when we claim that the TPP is a "secret" deal. Even though negotiations over the TPP are largely complete, your administration has deemed the text of the agreement classified and kept it hidden from public view, thereby making it a secret deal.

As a result of your administrations decision, it is currently illegal for the press, experts, advocates, or the general public to review the text of this agreement. And while you note that Members of Congress may "walk over .. and view the text of the agreement" ~ as we have done ~ you neglected to mention that we are prohibited by law from discussing the specifics of that text with the public…. "

 
As the late George Carlin once correctly exclaimed regarding Congress ~ "It's a great big club, and you're not in it "  so get used to it because Corporations are people and the electorate are most definitely not to be trusted with the truth, starting with 9/11 and extending to Drone assassinations and TPP.

 
Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown are absolutely right. The TPP will radically reshape our laws, our economy, and our democracy in favor of the rich and big corporations. Senators Warren and Brown are fighting back on behalf of the American people and they need our support ASAP. Are you with them?

So TPP in reality is really an anagram of the Bush and Obama's administration's attitude toward the electorate of this rapidly fading Republic ~ Tough Patooties, People !

BAND OF BROTHERS #15 / HEALING WOUNDED HEARTS THROUGH HEART CENTERED ACTION


Once again, the magic of love and gratefulness applied through heart centered action leads eight veterans with PTSD to another choice in their life but also to a greater sense of themselves, their purpose and their ability to give and receive love: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

In my role as a volunteer heart centered consultant, advisor and mentor, I have recently assisted in the transition of eight more combat veterans with PTSD who found the courage to go within and beneath their pain and anguish and found, in the process, their original innocence, joy and delight as well as a need to be in service from that very same place of love and gratitude ~ and all within eight sessions in eight weeks.

 
Make no mistake about this, the keys to the magic kingdom of the soul and soul retrieval is gratefulness ~ and gratefulness and eventually forgiveness begins with our self. Each one of these participants with the assistance of their adjustment counselor complete a Life chart ~ a chart which clearly shows their whole life, relationships and war experience and where they are now.

 
But the life chart also shows the path of their heart and how every love relationship has been a gift in their life quest to reconnect with their original innocence, love and joy. For most of them, childhood emotional trauma has caused them to emotionally check out and they live in emotional darkness ~ reinforced by their military experience ~  a grey disconnected world of aloneness and fear based ego consciousness.

 
I am brought in as a former active duty veteran as well as a fully vetted volunteer advisor and heart centered consultant to help these veterans connect the dots and begin to see their whole life as an inner QUEST to find their lost self and how each love relationship has played its role in accelerating that quest to not only find themselves ~  but to also live and speak their inner truth.

 
From the very first session, they begin the process of thanking the people who have been there in their lives and as they do ~ their buried or numbed out hearts begin to open allowing them to see through different eyes.

In the third tenet of my PhD dissertation, The Unified Field, I describe the process by which psychic pain can over-ride joy and how most people are afraid of or mistrust their deepest joy ~ It would appear that the pain of not feeling loved for oneself and being seemingly separated from our original state of soul consciousness and the Unified Field is of such deep psychic proportions that, early in childhood, processes are triggered in the hypothalamus which result in a left brain imbalance and dominance as well as the denial, mistrust and forgetting of our connection to the Unified Field and the love and joy and a state of soul consciousness deepest within us. It is from this dark tunnel of pain, aloneness, despair and apparent death that the ego and ego consciousness is born - for survival and protection purposes only. As such, death or the idea of death, is an illusion measured by the limits of our consciousness. It is within that cocoon that the innocent and loving child awaits its turn to be seen and released from its own bondage.

Think of the ego as a protective cocoon that is eventually meant to be shed. The Unified Field can be visualized as a grid of great luminosity joining all living beings within its energy field of love. The words of Longfellow would seem appropriate in describing this all-encompassing field or grid: "The thread of all sustaining beauty that runs through all and doth all unite.

So after sharing their life charts with the group and taking accountability for their life and the decisions they alone have made to run away from love and joy and hide in a cocoon of ego consciousness ~ they all are ready to meet their real coach (the trapped child within) through a guided visualization and begin the process of listening and responding to their own inner guidance but by this time they all at least sense  that deepest within them is love and joy.

 
Here are two of the questions they asked the child during this exercise ~ followed by their answer.

 
5. Is there joy beneath my pain ?

    D ~ Yes

    T ~ Yes

    G ~ Yes

    M ~ Yes

    W ~ Yes

    M ~ Yes

    A ~ Yes

       J ~ Yes, of course.

 

6. How important is this work ?  Why?

    D ~ Very Important,  it's Life and Death

    T ~ Yes, so I can join the human race (Universe)

    G ~ Extremely, It's the only way I can find peace

    M ~ It's most important, I need it

    W ~ Very, It is the most important, it's the path to love myself

    M ~ Very, It's life and death

    A ~ Very, it's important to fully live

       J ~ Very, it will change me forever.

 
In session six, they experience the Death Exercise where each has a chance to clearly see their life as a quest and experience how many people really knew them. Then each one of them experiences a mock death and each one has the chance to feel the love as well as extend that love to one another within the group. For some of them, this is the first time they have experienced themselves being loved for who they really are as well as extending their own love toward others.

 
The last session is all about listening and responding to their inner direction and fully claiming the gift of themselves ~ which is the prime purpose of this self-healing empowering workshop. We now have close to 95 combat veteran graduates with Band of Brothers #16 commencing this week. The graduating Band of Brothers meet once a month in after care to share their experiences as well as welcome the new graduates.

 
And finally here's a breakdown on what each member of Band of Brothers #15 gained from these sessions in their own words.

 

D ~ "I created a veteran family that loves and emotionally supports me."

T~ "I learned to speak from my heart"

G ~ "I have reached a state of inner peace and ease in all situations"

W ~ "I have learned to love and express myself and feel immense feelings of joy"

M ~ "I trust this inner process of listening to myself and learning from within"

A ~ " I'm more focused and less controlled by fear"

M ~ "I've learned to listen to and trust myself"

J ~ "I know I have another choice of behavior and there is joy beneath my pain "

 

It is really so obvious that many of these active duty Veterans want another choice versus drugs in their rehabilitation. The Healing the Wounded Heart program with its emphasis on healing soul damage through gratefulness and heart centered action is a beacon of light in the seemingly impenetrable darkness of PTSD.

 
Perhaps with the upcoming 100th graduate of the Band of Brothers HWH program ~ the VA will realize (similar to the story of the 100th monkey that tipped the balance of monkey consciousness) that the time has come to recognize that a heart centered approach to Veterans rehabilitation has an important role to play in returning our veterans to useful, intentioned and fulfilling lives.

WHY LINCOLN STILL MATTERS TODAY

On the anniversary of Lincoln's assassination on April 14, 1865, 150 years ago, I pause to reflect on this giant of a man and 16th President who represents all the moral qualities we would hope our current Presidents embody ~ and yet we remain so bitterly disappointed when few if any of these Presidential pretenders can approach the moral timbre of our greatest president: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

Abraham Lincoln is still a symbol of the best of America and historian Doris Kearns Goodwin in 2008 listed the ten qualities that made Lincoln such a great leader as well as the qualities we should look for in our present leaders.

1. Capacity to Listen to Different Points of View

While researching her Pulitzer Prize winning book, Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, Kearns Goodwin learned that Lincoln had the capacity to listen to different points of view. He created a climate where Cabinet members were free to disagree without fear of retaliation. At the same time, he knew when to stop the discussion and after listening to the various opinions, make a final decision.

2. Ability to Learn on the Job

Lincoln was able to acknowledge errors, learn from them, and then move. In this way, he established a culture of learning in his administration, said Kearns Goodwin.

3. Ready Willingness to Share Credit for Success

In response to concerns expressed by friends about the actions of some of his Cabinet members, Lincoln stated that the "path to success and ambition is broad enough for two" said Kearns Goodwin. When there was success, Lincoln shared the credit with all of those involved.

4. Ready Willingness to Share Blame for Failure

When mistakes were made by members of his Cabinet, Lincoln stood up for them said Kearns Goodwin. When contracts related to the war effort raised serious questions about a member of his administration, Lincoln spoke up and indicated that he and his entire Cabinet were to blame.

5. Awareness of Own Weaknesses

Kearns Goodwin noted that one of the weaknesses acknowledged by Lincoln was his tendency to give people too many chances and because he was aware, he was able to compensate for that weakness. As an example, she stated that George McClellan, Commander in Chief of the Union Army, refused to follow directives about the war effort. Lincoln eventually set a deadline and eventually removed McClellan from the position.

6. Ability to Control Emotions

According to Kearns Goodwin, Lincoln treated those he worked with well. However, he did get angry and frustrated, so he found a way to channel those emotions. He was known to sit down and write what he referred to as a “hot letter” to the individual he was angry with and then he would set the letter aside and not send it. If he did lose his temper, Lincoln would follow up with a kind gesture or letter to let the individual know he was not holding a grudge, said Kearns Goodwin. She noted that one of the letters was released as part of Lincoln’s Presidential papers with a notation that it was never signed nor sent.

7. Know How to Relax and Replenish

Lincoln understood the importance of relaxation and humor to shake of the stress of the day and to replenish himself for the challenges of the next day. According to Kearns Goodwin, Lincoln had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell funny stories. He encouraged a healthy atmosphere of laughter and fun in his administration. He also enjoyed going to the theater and spending time with friends.

8. Go Out into the Field and Manage Directly

During the Civil War, many soldiers died and there were many ups and downs. Lincoln established lasting connections with the troops by visiting the battlefield and hospitals, which also helped bolster morale.

Lincoln also spent time talking with members of the public, taking ‘public opinion baths’ according to Kearns Goodwin. He held public receptions and made a point of shaking everyone’s hand and speaking to each individual.

9. Strength to Adhere to Fundamental Goals

In the summer of 1964, said Kearns Goodwin, the war was not going well for the North. Members of his political party came to Lincoln and said that there was no way to win the war and he might need to compromise on slavery. Lincoln held firm on the issue of slavery and turned away from this advice.

10. Ability to Communicate Goals and Vision

Kearns Goodwin stated that Lincoln had a “remarkable ability to communicate his goals to his countrymen.” He made concepts simple and communicated with an understanding of the concerns of the citizens.

When the war ended and he won reelection, Lincoln did not focus on his achievements said Kearns Goodwin. Rather, in his second inaugural speech, Lincoln focused on bringing the country together as expressed in the following excerpt. “With malice toward none, with charity for all, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.”

Kearns Goodwin ended her keynote address with the following words from Leo Tolstoy about Abraham Lincoln. His greatness consisted of the “integrity of his character and moral fiber of his being.”

In the spirit of Lincoln ~ Integrity of character and moral fiber of their being are the two determining qualities with which we should judge our leaders as well as potential leaders ~ which, at the present time, leaves a somewhat barren political landscape in America.

HILLARY JUMPS IN WITH ALL HER BAGGAGE



The coronation of the imperious Hillary Clinton is now officially underway with Hillary's declaration today but she brings with her candidacy much baggage ~ which includes her chief advisor and former president Bill Clinton. Hillary's announced low key campaign cannot hide the fact that she is already a high risk lightening rod, obviously in bed with the global elite and Wall Street and seemingly out of touch with an increasingly impatient and skeptical progressive base: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

We think ~ for example ~ 'first ex-co-president' or 'first wife of a disbarred lawyer and impeached former incumbent' or 'first person to use her daughter as photo-op protection during her husband's perjury rap.”

I distinctly remember shaking hands with Hillary Clinton on the stage of Glide Church in San Francisco after a performance of the Glide Ensemble, where I was a lead base, and moments after her brief campaign talk many years ago ~ I was stuck by her imperious manner at that time and her cold calculating smile as well as insulating eyes which almost betrayed an angry and betrayed spirit within.
 
The test of a person's character is not necessarily adversity but much more telling is how they handle power ~ We trust that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is not laughing anymore about the death of Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi, saying, “We came. We saw. He died"  and in the process giving us a glimpse of the real Hillary, beneath her mask, exercising her power and leaving Libya in chaos. 2 minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtH7iv4ip1U

The late satirist and polemicist Christopher Hitchens, who died in 2011, and trained his sights on targets as varied as Henry Kissinger, the British monarchy and Mother Teresa also saw through Hillary and offered some scathing insights as to her entitled nature and political posturing;
 
" Mrs. Clinton, speaking to a black church audience on Martin Luther King Day last year, did describe President George W. Bush as treating the Congress of the United States like 'a plantation,' adding in a significant tone of voice that 'you know what I mean ...'
She did not repeat this trope, for some reason, when addressing the electors of Iowa or New Hampshire. She's willing to ring the other bell, though, if it suits her. But when an actual African-American challenger comes along, she rather tends to pout and wince at his presumption (or did until recently).”

But her most heavy baggage may well be ex-president Bill Clinton, who was responsible for the scuttling of the Glass-Steagull protection act as well as the rapid triangulation of the Democratic party and sell out to Wall Street ~ and will now serve as her principle advisor and connection to Wall Street.
 
I can't think of a more appropriate couple to usher in the final days of our once beloved Republic for, believe me, the financial elite have made their decision;
Obama has done his job as a caretaker President and maintainer of the status quo.
Hillary is now the chosen or anointed one.
Jeb Bush is a worn out stalking horse crippled by his brother's inept decisions.
Rand Paul is for comic relief.
Chris Christie is imploding and sinking fast.
Elizabeth Warren has been silenced and offered a seat at the Clinton power table.
Bernie Sanders is a lone voice of truth in the growing political darkness.
 
It's all kabuki theater ~ there is only one party and it answers to the same master, Wall Street and the global financial elite.

LAST MISSION OF A FIGHTER PILOT

I can identify with Kaname Harada, a Japanese fighter pilot in World War II, who excelled as a fighter interceptor protecting the Japanese fleet but now feels his last mission is to protect his country regarding the moral perils of war ~ much as I was once a navy interceptor fighter pilot who protected the 7th fleet in 1960 in my fully armed F3H Demon ~ but now my last mission is to empower my country to surrender to love and social cooperation, the innate driving forces of evolution as well as participate in a slowly evolving loving plan in action: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

 

 "That is how war robs you of your humanity,” he added, “by putting you in a situation where you must either kill perfect strangers or be killed by them.."  Kaname Harada




The Mitsubishi Zero was introduced early in World War II, the Zero was considered the most capable carrier-based fighter in the world, combining excellent maneuverability with effective fire power.

 

The New York Times on April 3, 2015 profiled a story about 98 year old Kaname Harada, a Japanese fighter interceptor in World War II ~ a story superbly written by Martin Hackler who fully captured how Harada's innate urge to unite ran far deeper than his wartime urge to kill and destroy ~ a phenomenon I continually witness in my role as a heart centered consultant with combat veterans with PTSD.

"Kaname Harada was once a feared samurai of the sky, shooting down 19 Allied aircraft as a pilot of Japans legendary Zero fighter plane during World War II. Now 98 years old and in failing health, the former ace is on what he calls his final mission: using his wartime experiences to warn Japan against ever going to war again. This has become a timely issue in Japan, as the conservative prime minister, Shinzo Abe, has called for revising Japan’s pacifist Constitution.

“Nothing is as terrifying as war,” Harada began, before spending the next 90 minutes recounting his role in battles, from Japan’s early triumph at Pearl Harbor to its disastrous reversals at Midway and Guadalcanal. “I want to tell you my experiences in war so that younger generations don’t have to go through the same horrors that I did.”

It is a warning that Mr. Harada fears his countrymen may soon no longer be able to hear. There are only a dwindling number of Japanese left who fought in the war, which in Asia began when Imperial Japan invaded northeastern China in 1931, and claimed tens of millions of lives over the following 14 years.

In an interview after his speech, Mr. Harada described himself as “the last Zero fighter,” or at least the last pilot still alive who flew during that aircraft’s glory days early in the war with the United States. He recounted how in dogfights, he flew close enough to his opponents to see the terror on their faces as he sent them crashing to their deaths…..

"I fought the war from the cockpit of a Zero, and can still remember the faces of those I killed,” said Mr. Harada, who said he was able to meet and befriend some of his foes who survived the war. “They were fathers and sons, too. I didn’t hate them or even know them.”

“That is how war robs you of your humanity,” he added, “by putting you in a situation where you must either kill perfect strangers or be killed by them….. ”  

"I realized the war had turned me into a killer of men,” he said, “and that was not the kind of person I wanted to be.”

"He said the nightmares finally ended when he found a new calling by opening a kindergarten in Nagano in 1965. He said he was able to alleviate the pangs of guilt by dedicating himself to teaching young children the value of peace. While he has now retired, he said he still visits the school every day so he can to see the children’s smiling faces."

Wise and true words from a combat veteran who is now a samurai of the heart and advocate for peace but not too different than the combat veterans I work with who are rediscovering that same need to unite versus fight ~ to go beyond their deep sense of guilt and unworthiness as well as respond to a genuine need to be in service to mankind.

Harada's last mission is similar to my last mission for having been trained to kill as an all-weather Navy fighter interceptor whose mission was to protect the fleet ~ I realize that my training was only a prelude to a greater mission to share the truth of a  Unified Field of love and soul consciousness that exists not only beyond time and space but also beneath our deepest fears. I will never forget and often share my unforgettable experience while on active duty of surrendering to that field and state of consciousness, which seemed endless but it was only a matter of a split second.

 




 

The final option, which happened during active duty carrier operations in 1960, became a split second of surrender and transcendence, an experience beyond the normal or physical level, and in the process I experienced the timeless and fearless world of soul consciousness ~ where all the answers are clear but can only be truly accessed in that moment of total surrender.

At age 81, I have had many personal experiences of the sensory sensation of being in this Unified Field of love and soul consciousness that exists not only beyond time and space but also beneath our deepest fears but this one stands out ~ for it was a matter of life and death and it became the foundation of my belief in a loving and timeless state of soul consciousness that lies beneath our deepest fears. What happened that night would become the foundation of my life's quest or journey to demonstrate that beneath our deepest fears is a spring of love, joy and soul consciousness and I have helped thousands of others go beyond their fears and surrender to love through my work and book Radical Therapy, Surrender to love and Heal yourself in Seven Sessions (not seven years) ~ and to discover for themselves that love and gratitude are the foundation of virtually all true emotional healing.
