The Clock Stopped at Hiroshima

 At precisely 8:15 AM on August 6th, 1945 ~ 200,000 people eventually died from an Atomic Bomb dropped by the United States on Japan and our world permanently changed, for at that moment man had discovered the ultimate means to destroy ourselves but now, 69 years later, we are still learning the intellectual and soul based moral bearings needed to control the fearsome murderous beast we unleashed on Hiroshima and then three days later on Nagasaki. Perhaps now we are ready to fully experience the life sustaining choice of love, social cooperation and altruism which are the innate driving forces of evolution as well as our only choice for the survival of our species: Allen L Roland, Ph.D

 

The day will come, when, after mastering the ether, the winds, the tides, gravity, we shall master the energies of love, for God. And then, for the second time in the history of the world, man will have made fire his servant: Teilhard de Chardin

We as a world society have now reached a decisive point in human evolution where, as Teilhard writes, "the only way forward is in the direction of a common passion, a 'conspiration'. To go on putting our hopes in a social order obtained by external violence would simply mean to abandon all hope of carrying the spirit of earth to its limits."

Teilhard goes on to conclude in his book Human Energy a profound truth that I deeply believe and prove every day in my work as a heart centered transformation consultant ~ "Therefore, despite all checks and all improbabilities, we are inevitably approaching a new age , in which the world will throw off its chains and at last give itself up to the power of its inner affinities ~ Either we must doubt the value of everything around us, or we must utterly believe in the possibility, and I should now add, in the inevitable consequences of universal love."   http://www.archive.org/details/HumanEnergy

It's all about universal love or the innate urge to unite and the key to this Unified Field  of soul consciousness is Gratitude and it begins with ourselves. As the world approaches this point of conspiration ~ we must realize we all have a part in this coming together of mankind and our whole life has essentially been a quest to claim that authentic vocation.

 

My experience for the past 40 years as a heart centered counselor and consultant is that once a person breaks through their inner fears and pain to the joy and delight beneath ~ they begin to sense their authentic vocation within a constantly evolving loving plan and they want to claim their part in it.

 

In other words, as we draw closer to the darkness of destroying ourselves, more and more people feel the urge to claim their divine part in the loving plan as light workers ~ and I find myself increasingly being called to service as a heart centered consultant for people who want to find their authentic heart centered vocation within this loving plan in action.

 

Nuclear doomsday may be close at hand but that only accelerates the inner drive towards the light and I can attest to that in my work as a consultant for heart centered light workers.

The Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists operate what they describe as the “doomsday clock”. It is a clock which marks how close mankind is to annihilation as a result of reckless endangerment of the environment such as with global warming or nuclear holocaust. According to the progressive group at the University of Chicago, midnight on the clock marks mankind destroying itself.

 

The doomsday clock is now at 1155 PM ~ and that now includes Climate Change and Global Warming. Our choice is close at hand ~ Do we continue to use force and domination to further separate ourselves from each other in the spirit of war or do we finally surrender to our evolutionary innate urge to unite and cooperate with one another in the spirit of love?

Teilhard sensed this also in 1955 in his book Human Energy ~ " Love one another ~ those words were pronounced two thousand years ago, but today they sound again in our ears in a very different tone. It no longer says only Love one another in order to be perfect but adds Love one another or you perish."

 

My greatest sense of belonging is knowing that I'm a functioning part of a loving plan in action, which also happens to be God, and I'm not only in sync with my destiny but most importantly in service within that loving plan. I also maintain that I was born in 1934 with that inner wisdom and direction and all I had to do was surrender to love and listen to my heart to finally get in sync with my authentic vocation and gift.

Hiroshima must be remembered and understood as a warning and a wakeup call to the planet that it can no longer resist the universal urge to unite or we will surely perish as a species and a life sustaining planet.

Yesterday you were playing with your cousins on this sandy Gaza beach.

You were playing soccer and you had just scored a goal with your makeshift cloth beach ball.

You knew there was danger on the beach but you could not resist the beach and the cool ocean breeze.

Somehow you could not understand the war around you.

You could not comprehend the hatred of the Zionists toward your Palestinian brothers and sisters.

You could not comprehend the cruelty of your occupation by

the Israelis.

You could not comprehend the whole concept of hatred and

apartheid for your heart was filled with love, joy and laughter.

You loved your mom and crippled Dad but could not quite understand their anguish about your safety.

Surely the Zionists would not want to bomb three little boys playing soccer on the beach.

Surely they would not be threatened by our laughter and joy.

Surely they would understand our innocent play.

Surely they would not bomb us.

Surely they would.

COMBAT VETS LAST HOPE IS OFTEN MAN'S BEST FRIEND

 

In my proven heart centered work with combat veterans with PTSD it is obvious that the healing power of unconditional love can facilitate transformative change. During the past four years, I have been able to successfully demonstrate in my 11 Healing The Wounded Heart (Band of Brothers) workshops in the San Francisco Bay area with combat veterans with PTSD ~ that reclaiming veterans' damaged souls through love, acceptance and gratefulness can lead not only to self-healing but also full recovery. But nowhere is that more obvious than with combat veterans with their special needs dogs ~ for the power of unconditional love can eventually penetrate the dark shadow world of a PTSD victim, whether military or civilian. The reason is that conscious unconditional love begets conscious unconditional love and frozen hearts and maimed souls are often melted in the process.

As Stephen Kendrick wrote ~ Love is not determined by the one being loved, but rather by the one choosing to love. In other words, it is conscious non-possessive love versus emotional need centered love and when we consciously love we enter the sacred space of unconditional love and a Unified Field  of love and soul consciousness ~ that is also deepest within each one of us. All of us have the capacity to love that deeply ~ but few of us get beyond the ego's fear based need to control or possess and are able to access and breath the rarefied air of true unconditional love.

In that regard, our pets (dogs, cats and even horses) are often reservoirs of that love for they quite often have the capacity to unconditionally love us especially when we feel alone and unloved.

As a child, my dogs were very special to me in that regard but especially in college where my dog INKY became our fraternity house pet. But my horse SCOUT was the best example of the healing power of unconditional love and the one choosing to love.

I was going through a painful separation from my second wife and living in a rented room on a horse ranch in Sonoma, California. My horse SCOUT became my connection to source and the healing power of love ~ for every day I cleaned his hoofs, rode him at full gallop in the vineyards and then washed and groomed him and fed him. It was a conscious choice to love and nurture him every day and in the process I healed myself through that love and learned how to unconditionally love.

 

Soon after that, it came time to let go of SCOUT because of the demands of my work and very quickly the perfect buyer responded to my ad, who had dreamed about SCOUT, agreed on a more than fair price, built a corral for him and allowed me to transition SCOUT into his new family and environment. It was easy for me to let go of SCOUT for in loving him I had reconnected to source and I in turn was now providing the perfect family to love, nurture and ride him during the last years of his life.

Letting go of SCOUT, as such, was an act of conscious unconditional love and there was no sense of loss but instead celebration and completion ~ for his future happiness was more important to me than my selfishly holding on to him. We had finished our healing time together and it was time to let go. Great love can both take hold and let go and the same thing can happen in relationship ~  for those who we love deeply become part of us forever and still live in our hearts.

 With a death toll of over 800 dead and climbing daily, the photos from Gaza are like a Goya painting depicting the desperation and frenzy of Palestinians existing in a living hell with no apparent escape ~ surrounded by solders with their guns pointed ~ while complicit Israeli's watch on hilltops from beyond their Iron Dome and celebrate with their neighbors their barely concealed ethnic cleansing in triumphal glee. On Wednesday, Gaza's health ministry, which keeps casualty figures, said 209 Palestinians had been killed and 1,560 were injured as the fighting continued for a ninth day. At least 39 children and 24 women were among the dead, officials said. In actuality, 80% of the killed and injured are civilians. Remember, there is no Israeli Iron Dome to protect Palestinian civilians and children ~ this is not war, it's genocide.

Below is a photograph of the anguished wail of a grieving father of one of the four young boys who was killed by an Israeli strike in Gaza on Wednesday. The boys, all cousins and under the age of 12, had been playing soccer on the beach when the Israelis attack occurred. The man’s picture, by photographer Hosam Salem, was taken during the boys’ funeral.

The open sore of  man's brutal inhumanity to man continues unabated in Gaza despite the cries of many of the world's humanitarian leaders to end this Zionist and American sanctioned slaughter of occupied and oppressed civilians and their rightful defenders. This ongoing atrocity is paying a psychic toll on the world's conscience and can no longer go on unabated without severe consequences.

But now we have an honest Israeli Jew, Miko Peled, the son of a Zionist General, telling the Real Truth about Israel and the ravages of unchecked Zionism.

Miko Peled was born in Jerusalem into a famous and influential Israeli Zionist family. His father was a famous General in the Israeli Army, of which Miko also served his time. When Miko's niece was killed by Palestinian suicide bombers, you may have expected the family to put Palestinians at fault, but surprisingly they blamed the state of Israel, and their violent torturing and persecution for driving people to such sadness that they would take their own lives.

WEST COAST NUMBER #1 IN PRO SPORTS

 LA Kings celebrate their second Stanley Cup in three years

 

The final nail in the coffin of East Coast sports dominance was provided by the LA Kings winning the coveted Stanley Cup for the second time in three years with a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers in June, 2014. As a native New Englander, I once worshipped the Boston Bruins, Red Sox and New York Giants but when my beloved Giants moved west in1958 shortly after my move west as a Naval Aviator  ~ my allegiance shifted and I saw the handwriting on the wall which has now become reality. The West is now supreme in pro sports with Baseball, Football, Basketball and now Hockey leading the parade ~ and the East Coast is just beginning to sense this truth: Allen L Roland

 

It's almost emotionally unbearable to witness the carnage that Israel is inflicting on its occupied garrison state of Palestine while the rest of the world looks away. To a Brazilian, the feeling would be like watching its National Soccer team recently be trounced by Germany 7-1 in the World Cup ~ shocked disbelief.

 

Now let me set the record straight on another more palpable sports truth ~ It's all over for East Coast Sports dominance ~ the West Coast is already dominant which will soon become obvious to Boston, New York and the rest of the East coast.

 

Let's take it sport by sport:

 

1. Major league Baseball ~ The best record in Baseball belongs to the surging Oakland A's (buoyed by Billy Beane's recent pitching steal from the Chicago Cubs) followed closely by the Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers. Detroit and Milwaukee have decent records in weak divisions. The Yankees and Red Sox are currently tired relics from the past.

 

2. National Hockey League ~ the torch has been handed to the West and Stanley Cup two time Winner Los Angeles Kings as well as the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks who are close behind.

 

3. National Football league ~ The super bowl champions Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are the two best teams in the NFL and continue to set the standard for excellence.

 

4. National Basketball Association ~ The World champion San Antonio Spurs, as well as the LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors are the class of the west.

 

My point is that the West Coast has clear superiority over the East Coast in major professional sports ~ which will become more apparent this year when the Oakland A's will most probably face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.

 

To avid sports fans, such as myself, the place to be is on the West Coast ~ which I innately knew as a child and have lived as an adult. LeBron James should actively consider this possibility even though he has made the decision to return to his Mid-West hometown Cleveland. However, that may end up being a pit stop on his journey West for there is only one logical final location for LeBron James ~ and that is the Los Angeles Lakers where his star will gain even further luster as well as enhance the ageing skills of his friend and fellow superstar Kobe Bryant.

 

50 years ago, I would never have envisioned this West Coast dominance but now it's obvious and somewhat validating since I am the only one in my family to hear and follow the Call of the West as poet Gerald Gould so ably writes;

 

“Beyond the East the sunrise, beyond the West the sea,
And East and West the wanderlust that will not let me be;
It works in me like madness, dear, to bid me say good-by!
For the seas call and the stars call, and oh, the call of the sky!

I know not where the white road runs, nor what the blue hills are,
But man can have the sun for friend, and for his guide a star;

To me, my stars were the writings of Jack London (Call of the Wild) which stirred my young active imagination and made it easy to listen to and follow my heart and destiny ~ and. to my delight, the New York Giants followed me to the San Francisco Bay area in 1958. But it was also the spirit of creative freedom, daring and innovation that I correctly sensed on the West Coast compared to the stifling tradition, provincialism and allegiance to the status quo of the East Coast.

The days of Mays, McCovey, Marichal and Cepeda are long past and now it's Cespedes, Moss, Donaldson, Doolittle, Norris and kazmir who fuel my sports fire for the young, driven and relentless Oakland A's are now the team to beat in the West.

I'm glad I'm an avid sports fan and I know it's healthy to stay excited about life and its events even as the Empire crumbles around us ~ for there is something innocent, noble and exhilarating in watching your favorite team endure the exhilaration of victory and agony of defeat ~ which somehow is a not too subtle reminder of what life is really like when we are fully engaged.
