The American dream has become a nightmare of vanquished dreams, lost hope, unrealized expectations and virtually no trust in our political leadership or the top culprit, the Federal Reserve. Fascism could well be near at hand: Allen L Roland
The stage has been set for a new American revolution where the people demand truth and transparency as well the change they voted for in 2008 ~ and did not get with Barack Obama.
I can feel the general oppressive malaise in the air and it won’t take much to set it ablaze but believe me, it’s there, and you saw its first shot across the bow in the 2008 mid-term elections. The progressives and Independents, who carried Obama to victory in 2008, feel betrayed, disenfranchised and used by President Obama ~ who still doesn’t realize that this incredible Democratic defeat in November was a referendum on himself and his failure to exercise his mandate of change. Pelosi has become the scapegoat for Obama’s inability to take a principled strong stand for true change.
To put it simply, the Corporatocracy ( Oligarchy ) rules and Obama answers to them and not the American people. I have never seen so many people so disappointed with our political leadership and these people are the dry tinder for a forest fire of public dissent which began burning on November 2nd and will be seemingly out of control within six months. According to an analysis by Isabel Sawhill and Emily Monea of the Brookings Institution, 10 million more Americans (including 6 million more children) will slip into poverty over the next decade
The great American Dream has become a full fledged nightmare and the only man who clearly saw this and fully owned it publicly was the late George Carlin ~ whose video on WHO REALLY CONTROLS AMERICA remains as relevant today as it was several years ago. ( Video ~ Three minutes ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYIC0eZYEtI&feature=player_embedded
We are owned lock, stock and barrel by the Corporatocracy or financial elite and Barack Obama answers to them ~ not you and I and Main Street America. The first step in change is always truth and transparency and the next step is individual action which is soon followed by collective action ~ which eventually will lead to the change many of us voted for and longed for in 2008.
Let’s now look at the top culprit of our current economic quagmire in terms of the American dream ~ The federal reserve. Source: The American Dream “ Today, most American students don’t even understand what a central bank is, much less that the battle over central banks is one of the most important themes in U.S. history. The truth is that our nation was birthed in the midst of a conflict over taxation and the control of our money. Central banking has played a key role in nearly all of the wars that America has fought. Presidents that resisted the central bankers were shot, while others shamefully caved in to their demands. Our current central bank is called the Federal Reserve and it is about as “federal” as Federal Express is. The truth is that it is a privately-owned financial institution that is designed to ensnare the U.S. government in an endlessly expanding spiral of debt from which there is no escape. The Federal Reserve caused the Great Depression and the Federal Reserve is at the core of our current economic crisis. None of these things is taught to students in America’s schools today.” President Wilson, who was originally responsible for creating the federal reserve, later regretted that decision for obvious reasons ~ “A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is privately concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men … [W]e have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated, governments in the civilized world–no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and the duress of small groups of dominant men.” As such, Truth and transparency should start with the federal Reserve. As David DeGraw correctly writes ~ “ On top of the many financial crimes already committed, their latest swindle is the Federal Reserve’s Quantitative Easing (QE2) program. QE2 is a money printing scheme that is in direct violation of the Constitution. The Constitution explicitly gives fiscal authority to Congress. The Federal Reserve, as a group of unelected global banking interests, cannot enact this policy without the direct approval of Congress. Therefore, Congress must take immediate action to stop this illegal activity, yet they remain completely silent on this usurpation of power. “
And DeGraw correctly concludes ~ “ American’s across the country are waking up completely broke, in debt they will never get out of and their job prospects are dire. The wrecking ball came through once and drove 50 million Americans into poverty. It is about to swing back again and take with it another 50 million of us. Our country has been attacked, looted and burnt to the ground economically. We need to understand that we are in an all out economic world war right now, and we are being viciously attacked without forming any resistance. The people attacking us are only one-tenth of one percent of the population. If we can recognize this fact and organize on common ground, we can win this war. Are you ready to fight back? I’ve made my decision. See you on the frontlines! “ http://ampedstatus.com/we-need-a-rally-to-restore-the-rule-of-law-andor-the-constitution Watch this short video on Quantitative Easing / What the Federal Reserve is up to, and how we got here. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article26818.htm Now note the striking similarity of the United States and Germany in the 1930’s with the resultant rise of fascism. In April 2010 Noam Chomsky, the leading leftwing intellectual, warned that fascism may be coming to the United States. “I’m just old enough to have heard a number of Hitler’s speeches on the radio,” he said, “and I have a memory of the texture and the tone of the cheering mobs, and I have the dread sense of the dark clouds of fascism gathering” here at home. “The level of anger and fear is like nothing I can compare in my lifetime,” he said. Chomsky correctly said “the colossal toll of the institutional crimes of state capitalism” is what is fueling “the indignation and rage of those cast aside.” “People want some answers,” Chomsky said. “They are hearing answers from only one place: Fox, talk radio, and Sarah Palin.” Chomsky invoked Germany during the Weimar Republic, and drew a parallel between it and the United States. “The Weimar Republic was the peak of Western civilization and was regarded as a model of democracy,” he said. And he stressed how quickly things deteriorated there. “In 1928 the Nazis had less than 2 percent of the vote,” he said. “Two years later, millions supported them. The public got tired of the incessant wrangling, and the service to the powerful, and the failure of those in power to deal with their grievances.” http://readersuppor In summary, fueled by a run away Military / Industrial Complex, the American dream has become a nightmare and the instigators are the Corporatocracy and a secretive Federal reserve in service to Wall Street and the financial elite. As Chomsky points out ~ we are not far away from a Fascist politico-economic system with a total corporate determination of economic, fiscal, and regulatory policy. My ongoing theme is always the truth, as I see it, and the exposure of lies, deception and manipulation wherever they exist. I remain firmly convinced that the world can no longer resist its innate urge to unite and co-operate with one another and we are very close to the point where war can no longer be an option if this transformation is to occur.
