HOSTAGE TO FEAR / ONLY THE TRUTH CAN FREE US

Both collectively and individually we are all a hostage of fear and only the light of the truth can free us from this self-imposed powerless and suffocating illusionary prison of self-doubt and unworthiness. Fortunately we have courageous truth tellers in our life continually reminding us of what the light of the truth can reveal: Allen L Roland

As Chris Badenhorst correctly wrote in the Star on April, 2014 of the important role of truth tellers in a letter entitled Fear Has Once Again Taken Us Hostage ~

"Ordinary people did not simply one day wake up and proclaim their place in history ~ to the contrary, the one common demeanor would be that these ordinary people all answered to an inner call and took up a long, troublesome and painful journey in the name of courage."

I have always felt that Fear is quite often False Exaggerations or Evidence Appearing Real and keeps us from truly experiencing not only our self but also how we can be held a hostage to fear. Fear is very capable of overriding love, joy and clarity as I recently shared in The Final Option http://www.veteranstoday.com/2014/05/11/the-final-option/ .

In order to conquer fear, we must experience it and go through it and see it for what it really is ~ the ego's need to maintain control and protect us from the unknown which is, in realty, being in the moment and claiming our part in a loving plan in action. Part of the process of being a truth teller, like Edward Snowden and Glenn Greenwald, is fearlessly revealing the light of the truth ~ which most certainly would eventually include the Assassination of JFK and the ongoing 9/11 Cover up.

FEAR / How many of us are controlled by it?

In that regard, Glenn Greenwald's recent excerpt in Tom Dispatch from his book No Place to Hide: Edward Snowden, the NSA, and the U.S. Security State is a classic example of  how nothing can keep the truth from eventually emerging from the harsh cold prison of Fear.

 How I Met Edward Snowden.
http://www.tomdispatch.com/blog//175843/

Excerpt: " Once the programs were all in place, I received a file containing roughly twenty-five documents: “Just a very small taste: the tip of the tip of the iceberg,” he tantalizingly explained.

I unzipped the file, saw the list of documents, and randomly clicked on one of them. At the top of the page in red letters, a code appeared: “TOP SECRET//COMINT/NO FORN/.”

This meant the document had been legally designated top secret, pertained to communications intelligence (COMINT), and was not for distribution to foreign nationals, including international organizations or coalition partners (NO FORN). There it was with incontrovertible clarity: a highly confidential communication from the NSA, one of the most secretive agencies in the world’s most powerful government. Nothing of this significance had ever been leaked from the NSA, not in all the six-decade history of the agency. I now had a couple dozen such items in my possession. And the person I had spent hours chatting with over the last two days had many, many more to give me.

Shortly before landing, I read one final file. Although it was entitled “README_FIRST,” I saw it for the first time only at the very end of the flight. This message was an explanation from the source for why he had chosen to do what he did and what he expected to happen as a result ~  and it included one fact that the others did not: the source’s name.

I understand that I will be made to suffer for my actions, and that the return of this information to the public marks my end. I will be satisfied if the federation of secret law, unequal pardon, and irresistible executive powers that rule the world that I love are revealed for even an instant. If you seek to help, join the open source community and fight to keep the spirit of the press alive and the internet free. I have been to the darkest corners of government, and what they fear is light. Edward Snowden "

"All I can say right now is the U.S. government is not going to be able to cover this up by jailing or murdering me. Truth is coming, and it cannot be stopped" Edward Snowden

Truth is coming and it cannot be stopped ~ but the ultimate truth is love.

The Joy Of Being In Service

THE JOY OF BEING IN SERVICE

Working with Veterans with PTSD has been the most emotionally rewarding work of my life. All my years of experience as a practicing therapist has prepared me for helping these fellow veterans break out of their self imposed prisons of fear and guilt and begin to see through eyes of love and joy: Allen L Roland

Working with veterans with PTSD has brought back memories of my original band of brothers when I was flying supersonic all-weather interceptors, as a US Navy carrier pilot, on the USS Ranger in the Far East in the early 60's.

Flying off the carrier, particularly at night and in all-weather conditions, demanded focus, concentration and absolute belief in myself and my instruments ~ particularly when experiencing vertigo and optical illusions at night.

Night landings on a pitching deck with a low fuel state is a memorable experience and I had many of them during my year long cruise.

But I had a band of brothers who were doing the same thing every night and we were bonded through our common mission ~ Roger Belnap, Bob Murphy and Jerry Nystrom are names that leap into my consciousness when I recall those exciting months on the USS Ranger.

I loved the daily regimen, I loved the sense of daily excitement, I loved sitting in my single place fighter, saluting the launch deck chief, pressing my head against the headrest and within seconds being propelled in a 3G catapult shot into the air at 135 knots ~ under thousands of pounds of steam pressure.

I loved my mission which was protecting the fleet and I would have fired my lethal sidewinders or sparrow missiles if directed at any enemy bogey that strayed into our territory and threatened the mother carrier.

I particularly loved catching that second or third wire, particularly when landing in a low fuel state and at night, knowing I was safely home and back with my band of brothers again.

I was also a Landing Signal Officcer (LSO) and when I wasn't flying I was on the rear LSO platform of the flight deck directing them home on their final approach to the carrier.

I knew I was part of something far greater than myself and I grew up and became a man in the process. Every person on the carrier was responsible, in some way or another, for our planes to launch and safely return from our individual missions.

Now I'm back with a Band of Brothers again but this time I'm using my gift of being able to see through the heart to help them break out of their self imposed PTSD prisons of fear and guilt and begin to see through eyes of love and joy.

A Band Of Brothers
http://allenlrolandsweblog.blogspot.com/2010/05/band-of-brothers.html

Once again, I know I'm part of something far greater than myself and I'm in service from a place of joy, delight, intention and purpose. Once again, I'm directing my brothers home to the mother ship, themselves ~ after a long and dangerous journey through their fears, and the flight path is always the path of the heart. For each of them, in being taught to kill, has temporarily lost sight of their innate need to love and be loved and our work has been a needed reminder that beneath their deepest fears and pain is a
Unified Field of love, joy and soul consciousness.

There is no greater joy than being in service from a place of inner celebration, doing something I love and believe in ~ and making a difference in the process by just being myself.

The Seven Stages Of Relationship / Few Get Beyond Stage Six

THE SEVEN STAGES OF RELATIONSHIP / FEW GET BEYOND STAGE SIX

Relationship is a means to an end versus an end in itself. The true purpose of relationship is the full flowering of each partner but only those who conquer fear reach the seventh stage of fulfilled love : Allen L Roland

Most people are afraid of love because they are afraid of their own deepest joy, delight and inner freedom.

In relationship, we must reach a place where being honest and being true to yourself is more important than the survival of the relationship ! Let me illustrate this using Stendhal's and Roland's seven stages of a love relationship :

1. ADMIRATION " I really admire you as a person "

2. BEGINNING OF DESIRE " I think I'd like to get to know you better."

3. HOPE " I hope you feel the same way about me "

4. INCEPTION OF LOVE " I think I'm falling in love with you "

5. FIRST CRYSTALLIZATION " I see the beauty and perfection within you "

6. DOUBT, FEAR AND/OR JEALOUSY, ANGER AND RESENTMENT " You're going to hurt me or betray me like others have "

This is where Stendhal ended his six stages of love for it is the stage where most, if not all, emotional relationships end with mutual anger, resentment or fear submerging all traces of the original love. What we do not realize in this stage is that these feelings are often associated with earlier childhood or relationship hurts we felt with loved ones and we are face to face with the decisions we made at that time to repress and deny our deepest feelings ~ because there was seemingly no-one there for us. We can either run, as most people do, or go inside and go through these fears by not denying the love, taking accountability for these feelings and stop being a victim ! You cannot escape stage six until you are willing to go inside, take total accountability for your actions and feelings and stop denying love. This takes great courage but the payoff is immense ! Resentment doesn't heal ! Anger doesn't heal ! Only love truly heals !

7. ROLAND'S SECOND CRYSTALLIZATION " I feel the beauty and perfection within myself and I'm sharing it with my partner and the world "

This Stage cannot be accomplished unless we realize our ultimate quest in life is to fully experience our authentic self and our connection to our original state of soul consciousness. IT IS A PLACE OF INNER VALIDATION VERSUS OUTER VALIDATION ! " Until I let go I cannot grow ", "Great love can both take hold and let go." When you let go in relationship, you do not let go of the love ~ you let go of your outer dependency for love. To let go with love you must, in essence, consciously love your partner by allowing them to follow their path, regardless of the risk to your relationship. Conscious love ( non-possessive, non-dependent and unconditional love ) is rarely obtained between humans. The conscious love motive, in its most developed state, is the wish that the object should arrive at its own innate perfection ~ regardless of the consequences to the lover or partner. It is total unconditional love and when we come from this place we are embracing our deepest spiritual essence and a state of soul consciousness within ourselves. The paradox of this attitude is that such love always evokes eventually a similar attitude in its objects because we all seek, at the deepest level, to be unconditionally loved. As such, when we allow love to be our guiding intention through our thoughts and feelings and learn to trust unconditional love ~ we begin to see through clearer eyes and all things come into perfect balance and harmony

The path to the soul is always through doors of fear and most of those fears appear in relationship. You don't realize those fears are illusions until you stop denying love and go through them. Only then can you truly claim the greatest gift ~ yourself.

Only then can you become a fragment of life's heart and transcend time and space in the process ~ for the hearts' desire is to love so deeply that we become one with a Unified Field of love, joy and soul consciousness.
