PRIMARY ELECTION ADVICE FOR DEMOCRATS / TRUST YOUR BASE OR LOSE IT

Ever get the feeling that you have been marginalized and steam rolled by a giant political machine ~ welcome to California where two million plus primary votes remain uncounted, where voter suppression definitely occurred, and where Queen Hillary is being prematurely anointed by the party elite, President Obama  and the Main Stream Media. This is a desperate political attempt to avoid the stark reality of a severely wounded and out of touch party which has lost its credibility and is in the process of losing its base: Allen L Roland, PhD

"It makes no difference who you vote for - the two parties are really one party representing four percent of the people"  Gore Vidal

The major clue that the Clinton lie machine was prepared to dump California voters and prematurely crown Hillary the winner of the Democratic primaries was at the Nevada State Democratic State Convention on May 14 and William Boardman (RSN) fills in the details;

"The evidence-free claims about “thrown chairs” (none) and “death threats” (tasteless insults) have been widely rebutted, but they have served their purpose all the same: taking attention away from the arrogant, autocratic management of the Nevada convention by establishment Democrats working on behalf of Hillary Clinton….Their fear of Bernie Sanders must run deep for them to follow this authoritarian performance with a smear campaign based on lies about the Sanders campaign. Establishment Democrats should be afraid, since almost half the voters allowed to vote in Democratic primaries reject establishment Democratic “values.” But their shamelessness, pusillanimity, and obtuse arrogance march on toward a possibly disastrous November that is wholly self-engineered." Read article ~ Clinton to California / "Drop Dead" http://readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/37009-clinton-to-california-qdrop-deadq

Boardman described the entitled arrogance of the Clinton lie machine but I experienced it in May of 2016 and both wrote about it and shared of it on Susan Lindhauer's Covert report on May 21, 2016.

I said that the California primary will be a game changer and set the stage for a bitterly contested convention in July.  In the end, it always comes down to trust  ~ and no one rightfully trusts the Clintons.

With Trump, it's always about the deal, trust be dammed.

Bernie is trustworthy and that just may hopefully carry the day.

If not,  we're politically doomed.  Here's the promo for that show ~

An epic show down as Fortune’s Wheel spins again! Our guests, Dr. Allen Roland talks about the California Primary, voter suppression, and “scorched earth” threats from Bernie Sanders! While media pundits screech in alarm, Democrats are clearly headed for a Contested-Convention in Philadelphia. Meanwhile Scott Bennett defends Trump from accusations that he’s a Camouflage Candidate.... http://truthfrequencyradio.com/tag/susan-lindauer/  Episode #209

I was right about the Clinton's and here's what actually happened in early May ~

I got my Primary mail in ballot as one of 4.2 million No Party Preference  ~ "NPP" voters ~ or what we know as "independents" who favored Sanders over Clinton by a stunning 40 percentage points ~ but I could not vote for Bernie because that choice was clearly not acceptable to the Clinton Machine.

In some counties like Los Angeles, it's not easy for an NPP to claim their right vote in the Democratic primary ~ and in other counties, nearly impossible.

For example ~ In Santa Rosa County, if you don’t say the magic words, “I want a Democratic crossover ballot,” you are automatically given a ballot without the presidential race. And ready for this, if an NPP voter asks the poll worker, “How do I get to vote in the Democratic party primary, they are instructed to say that, “NPP voters can’t get Democratic ballots.” They are ordered not  to breathe a word that the voter can get a “crossover” ballot that includes the presidential race.

It took me a few days to call the registrar of voters to request a mail-in cross-over ballot and I barely made the deadline of May 23th to make that request to vote in the June 7th election ~ this was obvious voter obstruction or suppression.

But here's more to chew on ~ Flipping the electronic voting machines. There are many reports of voting machine irregularities across the state. Poll workers in Los Angeles and Orange County report that Bernie won the electronic votes in their precincts by well over a 2 to 1 margin, the opposite of the result of the vote count. The contrast between this and the outcome is indicative of vote-flipping. This result in another 7 figure number of Bernie Sanders votes not being counted; in fact, this is much worse. Millions of Bernie Sanders votes were actually counted as Hillary Clinton votes

Now you probably understand the not-so subtle voter fraud and suppression the Clinton machine used to produce the election havoc that now reins in California with over two million uncounted votes ~ and on top of that Another dirty trick ~ exit polls were cancelled for California.

Note that the exit polls have not matched the official results OUTSIDE the margin of error in many states in the Democratic primary election.  It has been a red flag for fraud.  WHY did the networks cancel exit polls in the remaining upcoming primaries?

Simple.  They do not want to provide a means of evidence to document this grand theft.

The mass media rushed to proclaim Hillary Clinton the winner of the Democratic nomination on June 7th, even before voting in the California primary had taken place. 100,000 people attended a rally for Bernie Sanders, but the mass media failed to mention it at all. On Tuesday, June 7, 2016, the California primary took place. It was, and is, too close to call. Gross voter suppression took place. But the mass media rushed to proclaim Clinton the winner and now you know why.

This is not only sickening but blatant voter suppression. Enough is enough!

This is fear based political overkill by a Democratic political establishment that is married to corporate power as well as the status quo and obviously afraid of the people's will and vote ~ note super delegate power play.

There needs to be a COMPLETELY new primary election for California. Sign this petition if you support a new free and fair election: https://www.change.org/p/california-democratic-party-redo-the-california-democratic-primary-election

Here's how WSWS saw the election ~

"The ruling class, and, in particular, the Democratic Party establishment, is far less concerned about the rise of Donald Trump than it is about the broad support for Sanders, which created a political crisis for Clinton and seriously jeopardized her planned coronation. The surge in support for Sanders came as a frightening shock to the entire political establishment—including Sanders himself ~ and the corporate-controlled media, because it demonstrated the emergence of a mass constituency for anti-capitalist, socialistic ideas …… There is a broad consensus, across both parties, that the class issues raised by the Sanders campaign in the primaries must be buried in the general election campaign. The decision has been taken at the highest levels of the political establishment to direct attention to issues of race and gender ~ including deliberately provoking such issues ~ in order to distract the public from the more fundamental economic division in society."

As Greg Palast confirmed on June 7th  ~ [Los Angeles] How California is being stolen from Sanders right now ~  Special bulletin from Greg Palast
"It's not some grand conspiracy, but it's grand theft nonetheless.   Sen. Bernie Sanders’ voters will lose their ballots, their rights, by the tens of thousands."
http://readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/37325-stealing-california

Let us hope Bernie insists on a proper counting of those ballots in California, by the convention in July, and by implication a change in party rules to prevent such increasingly obvious election fraud and suppression.

At times like this ~ I  always seem to come back to George Carlin's wise election advice ~ 3 min video ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5dBZDSSky0\

Finally , I'm afraid the Democrats will learn all the wrong lessons from their brush with Bernie as Matt Taibbi, Rolling Stone strongly suggests;

"Politicians are so used to viewing the electorate as a giant thing to be manipulated that no matter what happens at the ballot, they usually can only focus on the Washington-based characters they perceive to be pulling the strings. Through this lens, the uprising among Democratic voters this year wasn't an organic expression of mass disgust, but wholly the fault of Bernie Sanders, who within the Beltway is viewed as an oddball amateur and radical who jumped the line.

Nobody saw his campaign as an honest effort to restore power to voters, because nobody in the capital even knows what that is. In the rules of palace intrigue, Sanders only made sense as a kind of self-centered huckster who made a failed play for power. And the narrative will be that with him out of the picture, the crisis is over. No person, no problem.

This inability to grasp that the problem is bigger than Bernie Sanders is a huge red flag. As Thacker puts it, the theme of this election year was widespread anger toward both parties, and both the Trump craziness and the near-miss with Sanders should have served as a warning. "The Democrats should be worried they're next," he says.

But they're not worried. Behind the palace walls, nobody ever is."

But Democrats most certainly should not only be worried but petrified of the danger that lies just outside the palace walls ~ for the ghost of Robert F Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr are inspiring the angry hoards who are demanding a voice in a rapidly disintegrating and corrupt Plutocracy.

Today, in 2016, another election is apparently being stolen from the people of the United States. Both Clinton and Trump are highly unpopular. Polls show that Trump might defeat Clinton in November, but that Bernie Sanders would easily beat Trump. Could it be because Bernie truly represents another life affirming choice of peace and individual empowerment versus more war and individual disenfranchisement and that Bernie also represents the true will and voice of the people ~ which the establishment continues to turn a deaf ear ~ for fear of their own survival.

This election is not over by any means, the revolution continues and needed change must truly happen in July.

"They [Democrats] ought to be horrified to their marrow that the all-powerful Democratic Party ended up having to dig in for a furious rally to stave off a quirky Vermont socialist almost completely lacking big-dollar donors or institutional support." Matt Tiabbi

BERNIE SOARS IN WISCONSIN, NEW YORK NEXT ~ HILLARY AND ESTABLISHMENT RATTLED

As Bernie soared with a major victory in Wisconsin, his real opponent is revealed and it's not just Hillary Clinton ~ it's the bought and sold major media and establishment who support Clinton and all but ignored Sander's triumph as they continue to pad the bankroll of an increasingly irrelevant Hillary who is still weighed down with credibility issues and making her last stand for the status quo and Wall Street in New York: Allen L Roland, PhD

“I learned early on not to be automatically dismissive of a Bernie Sanders initiative or amendment… He’s tenacious and dogged and he has determination, and he’s not to be underestimated.”  Senator Roger Wicker / Republican, Mississippi

The Wisconsin win for a determined but not be underestimated Bernie Sanders is his sixth in the last seven presidential nominating contests, but he still faces a difficult task to overtake Clinton as the presidential nominating race moves to New York on April 19 and to five other Eastern states on April 26 ~ but the momentum has clearly changed in favor of Bernie partcularly regarding the direction of the Democratic Party.

WSWS reports that "Sanders outpolled Clinton in 79 of the state’s 82 counties and dominated nearly every demographic and income group. He won more than 80 percent of the vote among those aged 18 to 29, more than 70 percent of the vote among independents, and defeated Clinton by 54 percent to 44 percent among nonwhite voters under 45 years of age."

He has now won seven of the last eight contests for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Most of exit poll voters want change but correctly feel that Sanders is better equipped to “shake up” the status quo ~ and Hillary unfortunately represents the embodiment of the establishment and status quo.

WSWS further reports that "In its election night coverage, the American media barely reported these figures, showing far greater interest in the fortunes of billionaire demagogue Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner. The media portrayed the victory of Texas Senator Ted Cruz over Trump as a political earthquake while downplaying Sanders’ more sweeping victory over Clinton."

See WSWS article ~

Despite this near media blackout ~ Sanders said he was optimistic he could win in New York, Oregon, and California and both Hillary and the establishment are clearly rattled.

The victory comes as a reluctant Hillary and eager Bernie have agreed to meet for a debate on April 14, five days before the New York primary.

Bernie needs to win up to two-thirds of the remaining delegates to catch Hillary, who will keep accumulating delegates even when she loses under a Democratic Party system that awards them proportionally in all states ~ but that support advantage is evaporating as the Bernie wave continues to strengthen with each primary victory and Hillary's vulnerability becomes more apparent. Riding on President Obama's coat-tails is not fooling anyone ~

As John Pilger expounds in CounterPunch ~ "The 2008 presidential campaign of Barack Obama should have alerted even the most dewy-eyed. Obama based his “hope” campaign almost entirely on the fact of an African-American aspiring to lead the land of slavery. He was also “antiwar”.

Obama was never anti-war. On the contrary, like all American presidents, he was pro-war. He had voted for George W. Bush’s funding of the slaughter in Iraq and he was planning to escalate the invasion of Afghanistan. In the weeks before he took the presidential oath, he secretly approved an Israeli assault on Gaza, the massacre known as Operation Cast Lead. He promised to close the concentration camp at Guantanamo and did not. He pledged to help make the world “free from nuclear weapons” and did the opposite.

As a new kind of marketing manager for the status quo, the unctuous Obama was an inspired choice. Even at the end of his blood-spattered presidency, with his signature drones spreading infinitely more terror and death around the world than that ignited by jihadists in Paris and Brussels, Obama is fawned on as “cool” (the Guardian)."

But Pilger saves his most damaging words for Hillary ~ "Trump is a media hate figure. That alone should arouse our scepticism.…The danger to the rest of us is not Trump, but Hillary Clinton. She is no maverick. As presidential election day draws near, Clinton will be hailed as the first female president, regardless of her crimes and lies ~ just as Barack Obama was lauded as the first black president and liberals swallowed his nonsense about “hope".

"One of Hillary Clinton’s most searing crimes was the destruction of Libya in 2011. At her urging, and with American logistical support, NATO, launched 9,700 “strike sorties” against Libya, according to its own records, of which more than a third were aimed at civilian targets. They included missiles with uranium warheads. See the photographs of the rubble of Misurata and Sirte, and the mass graves identified by the Red Cross. Read the UNICEF report on the children killed, “most (of them) under the age of ten”.

As WSWS points out ~ "Sanders is riding a wave of economic anger and hostility over social inequality. Despite all efforts to cover it up, it has proven impossible to conceal the deeply rooted sickness of American society: the ever-widening economic gulf between the top one percent (or one-tenth of one percent) and the broad masses who work for a living and produce the wealth"  ~ but I point out that Sanders is a truth teller and credible people's candidate whereas Hillary is not trusted and a pawn for an already discredited establishment, which is obviously her moneyed 1% base.

As I have said before ~ the true test of a person's character is not how they handle adversity but how do they handle political power and in that regard Hillary's flawed political character is best witnessed with her unguarded reaction on CBS, as Secretary of State, to the brutal assassination of former ally Libya's Muammar Gadhafi ~ "We Came, We Saw and He Died "

YouTube video ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtH7iv4ip1U

Make no mistake about this ~ The Clintons ARE the Status Quo and the Establishment and Hillary's feeble attempts to don populist garb is laughable.

If Hillary tries to disqualify Sanders, she will end up disqualifying herself in the minds of millions of voters who do not trust the Clinton lie machine. She will then parade a thoroughly discredited Bill Clinton, from out of political mothballs, as well as try to win at any cost ~ including her own extremely shaky integrity.

I rest my case, the only true alternative to the establishment and a continuation of the Status Quo is Bernie Sanders.

SANDERS AND CORBYN FACE MAJOR RESISTANCE AS SUPPORT GROWS

Senator Bernie Sanders and UK Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn

As the inevitability of real change increases, resistance and backlash also increases as I have most certainly experienced in my heart centered work within the VA Medical establishment ~ but there comes a time when a tipping point is reached and the inevitable becomes a growing reality as we are now witnessing with the rise of Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbyn to positions of real leadership in a troubled world community: Allen L Roland, PhD

“Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.”
~ Albert Einstein

In October of 2015, I wrote that there is a reason that Bernie Sanders has surged ahead in the Presidential Primary Polls and that Britain’s Jeremy Corbyn has done the same thing in the UK ~ it’s people power and it won’t and can't be stopped. The refreshing honesty and agenda of Bernie Sanders is a lifeboat in a sea of political deception and lost hope and soon he will be joined by the UK’s Jeremy Corbyn as a worldwide counter balance to corporate power and the global elite as well as a genuine reflection of a new world order based on people power ~ and now it's moving closer to a reality. See VT post ~  http://www.veteranstoday.com/2015/10/08/bernie-and-jeremy-a-new-world-order-based-on-people-power/

But we must first realize that all true change is resisted for the stumbling blocks on the path of the weak often become stepping stones on the path of the strong ~ as I well know in introducing real change to the VA through my heart centered work with Combat Veterans with PTSD.

But this backlash phenomenon also exists on a much larger political stage as we are witnessing in the 2016 Presidential primaries and well as in the UK with the emergence of Labor leader Jeremy Corbin.

To better understand this phenomenon ~ let's separate this resistance into stages ~ because in many ways it is similar to Schopenhauer's three stages of truth ("All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.") ~ except in this case, there are seven stages.

Glenn Greenwald, The Intercept, brilliantly summarizes these stages in his recent article ~ The Seven Stages of Establishment Backlash:

Excerpt:

" For those who observed the unfolding of the British reaction to Corbin's victory, it’s been fascinating to watch the D.C./Democratic establishment’s reaction to Sanders’ emergence replicate that, reading from the same script. I personally think Clinton’s nomination is extremely likely, but evidence of a growing Sanders movement is unmistakable. Because of the broader trends driving it, this is clearly unsettling to establishment Democrats ~ as it should be….. A poll last week found that Sanders has a large lead with millennial voters, including young women; as Rolling Stone put it: “Young female voters support Bernie Sanders by an expansive margin.”

The New York Times yesterday trumpeted that, in New Hampshire, Sanders “has jumped out to a 27 percentage point lead,” which is “stunning by New Hampshire standards.” The Wall Street Journal yesterday, in an editorial titled “Taking Sanders Seriously,” declared it is “no longer impossible to imagine the 74-year-old socialist as the Democratic nominee."

Greenwald goes on to confirm that there is a direct correlation between the strength of Sanders and the violent violent opposition and backlash it has triggered within the Democratic establishment and major media ~  " There were, roughly speaking, seven stages to this establishment revolt in the U.K. against Corbyn, and the U.S. reaction to Sanders is closely following the same script:

STAGE 1: Polite condescension toward what is perceived to be harmless (we think it’s really wonderful that your views are being aired).

STAGE 2: Light, casual mockery as the self-belief among supporters grows (no, dears, a left-wing extremist will not win, but it’s nice to see you excited).

STAGE 3: Self-pity and angry etiquette lectures directed at supporters upon realization that they are not performing their duty of meek surrender, flavoured with heavy doses of concern trolling (nobody but nobody is as rude and gauche online to journalists as these crusaders, and it’s unfortunately hurting their candidate’s cause!).

STAGE 5: Brazen invocation of right-wing attacks to marginalize and demonize, as polls prove the candidate is a credible threat (he’s weak on terrorism, will surrender to ISIS, has crazy associations, and is a clone of Mao and Stalin).

STAGE 6: Issuance of grave and hysterical warnings about the pending apocalypse if the establishment candidate is rejected, as the possibility of losing becomes imminent (you are destined for decades, perhaps even generations, of powerlessness if you disobey our decrees about who to select).

STAGE 7: Full-scale and unrestrained meltdown, panic, lashing-out, threats, recriminations, self-important foot-stomping, overt union with the Right, complete fury (I can no longer in good conscience support this party of misfits, terrorist-lovers, communists, and heathens). "
So what stage are we entering now on the verge of the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries and Greenwald delivers his ominous verdict ~

"Britain is well into Stage 7, and may even invent a whole new level (anonymous British military officials expressly threatened a “mutiny if Corbyn were democratically elected as prime minister). The Democratic media and political establishment has been in the heart of Stage 5 for weeks and is now entering Stage 6. The arrival of Stage 7 is guaranteed if Sanders wins Iowa."
See Greenwald RSN report ~ http://readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/34744-the-seven-stages-of-establishment-backlash-corbynsanders-edition

Political Change, like climate change, is upon us and there is no painless path to transformation ~ for it involves letting go of the past and embracing the future ~ which both individually and politically is not an easy task. In that sense, both Sanders and Corbyn are needed catalysts for change.

“The power of a bold idea uttered publicly in defiance of dominant opinion cannot be easily measured. Those special people who speak out in such a way as to shake up not only the self-assurance of their enemies, but the complacency of their friends, are precious catalysts for change.” ~ Howard Zinn, You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train: A Personal History of Our Times
