SANDERS AND CORBYN FACE MAJOR RESISTANCE AS SUPPORT GROWS

As the inevitability of real change increases, resistance and backlash also increases as I have most certainly experienced in my heart centered work within the VA Medical establishment ~ but there comes a time when a tipping point is reached and the inevitable becomes a growing reality as we are now witnessing with the rise of Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbyn to positions of real leadership in a troubled world community: Allen L Roland, PhD

 In October of 2015, I wrote that there is a reason that Bernie Sanders has surged ahead in the Presidential Primary Polls and that Britain’s Jeremy Corbyn has done the same thing in the UK ~ it’s people power and it won’t and can't be stopped. The refreshing honesty and agenda of Bernie Sanders is a lifeboat in a sea of political deception and lost hope and soon he will be joined by the UK’s Jeremy Corbyn as a worldwide counter balance to corporate power and the global elite as well as a genuine reflection of a new world order based on people power ~ and now it's moving closer to a reality. But we must first realize that all true change is resisted for the stumbling blocks on the path of the weak often become stepping stones on the path of the strong ~ as I well know in introducing real change to the VA through my heart centered work with Combat Veterans with PTSD.

But this backlash phenomenon also exists on a much larger political stage as we are witnessing in the 2016 Presidential primaries and well as in the UK with the emergence of Labor leader Jeremy Corbin.

To better understand this phenomenon ~ let's separate this resistance into stages ~ because in many ways it is similar to Schopenhauer's three stages of truth ("All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.") ~ except in this case, there are seven stages.

Glenn Greenwald, The Intercept, brilliantly summarizes these stages in his recent article ~ The Seven Stages of Establishment Backlash:

 " For those who observed the unfolding of the British reaction to Corbin's victory, it’s been fascinating to watch the D.C./Democratic establishment’s reaction to Sanders’ emergence replicate that, reading from the same script. I personally think Clinton’s nomination is extremely likely, but evidence of a growing Sanders movement is unmistakable. Because of the broader trends driving it, this is clearly unsettling to establishment Democrats ~ as it should be….. A poll last week found that Sanders has a large lead with millennial voters, including young women; as Rolling Stone put it: “Young female voters support Bernie Sanders by an expansive margin.”

The New York Times yesterday trumpeted that, in New Hampshire, Sanders “has jumped out to a 27 percentage point lead,” which is “stunning by New Hampshire standards.” The Wall Street Journal yesterday, in an editorial titled “Taking Sanders Seriously,” declared it is “no longer impossible to imagine the 74-year-old socialist as the Democratic nominee."

 

Greenwald goes on to confirm that there is a direct correlation between the strength of Sanders and the violent violent opposition and backlash it has triggered within the Democratic establishment and major media ~  " There were, roughly speaking, seven stages to this establishment revolt in the U.K. against Corbyn, and the U.S. reaction to Sanders is closely following the same script:

STAGE 1: Polite condescension toward what is perceived to be harmless (we think it’s really wonderful that your views are being aired).

STAGE 2: Light, casual mockery as the self-belief among supporters grows (no, dears, a left-wing extremist will not win, but it’s nice to see you excited).

STAGE 3: Self-pity and angry etiquette lectures directed at supporters upon realization that they are not performing their duty of meek surrender, flavoured with heavy doses of concern trolling (nobody but nobody is as rude and gauche online to journalists as these crusaders, and it’s unfortunately hurting their candidate’s cause!).

STAGE 4: Smear the candidate and his supporters with innuendos of sexism and racism by falsely claiming only white men support them (you like this candidate because he’s white and male like you, not because of ideology or policy or contempt for the party establishment’s corporatist, pro-war approach).

STAGE 5: Brazen invocation of right-wing attacks to marginalize and demonize, as polls prove the candidate is a credible threat (he’s weak on terrorism, will surrender to ISIS, has crazy associations, and is a clone of Mao and Stalin).

STAGE 6: Issuance of grave and hysterical warnings about the pending apocalypse if the establishment candidate is rejected, as the possibility of losing becomes imminent (you are destined for decades, perhaps even generations, of powerlessness if you disobey our decrees about who to select).

STAGE 7: Full-scale and unrestrained meltdown, panic, lashing-out, threats, recriminations, self-important foot-stomping, overt union with the Right, complete fury (I can no longer in good conscience support this party of misfits, terrorist-lovers, communists, and heathens). "

So what stage are we entering now on the verge of the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries and Greenwald delivers his ominous verdict ~

"Britain is well into Stage 7, and may even invent a whole new level (anonymous British military officials expressly threatened a “mutiny” if Corbyn were democratically elected as prime minister). The Democratic media and political establishment has been in the heart of Stage 5 for weeks and is now entering Stage 6. The arrival of Stage 7 is guaranteed if Sanders wins Iowa."

Political Change, like climate change, is upon us and there is no painless path to transformation ~ for it involves letting go of the past and embracing the future ~ which both individually and politically is not an easy task. In that sense, both Sanders and Corbyn are needed catalysts for change.

Connect the dots, Bernie Sanders in the U.S, Jeremy Corbyn in the UK and now Trudeau in Canada ~ a massive shot has been fired across the bow of the all-powerful global neo conservative corporate state and it's gaining momentum ~ for the people are tired of war, of being ignored and they are electing leaders who promise to speak truth to power and their voices can no longer be ignored or diminished: Allen L Roland, PhD

Suddenly a new political star has risen. His name is Justin Trudeau, he’s 43-years-old, and his Liberal Party came out on top in Monday’s Canadian national elections ~ effectively ending the Conservative Party’s nine-year-long neo-conservative stranglehold over Canadian politics.

 

As Thom Hartmann writes ~ "No one saw this coming. Back in August when current Prime Minister Stephen Harper first called for early elections, the Liberals were getting trounced in the polls by the historically much more left-wing New Democratic Party, or NDP … At that time it really looked like the Liberals - Canada’s so-called “natural governing party” ~ were on the cusp of losing yet another election…. But then something weird happened.  As summer turned to fall, the NDP abandoned its progressive values and started moving to the right."  The die for defeat was cast and the people spoke much as they are now in the United States and the UK.

As Hartmann correctly explains  ~ Unfortunately, a lot of establishment Democrats still buy into the right-wing myth that America is a “center-right nation” when it’s anything but a center-right nation.

Like Canada, America is a center-left nation ~ despite the mainstream media attempts to convince us otherwise. In fact, a recent poll by the Progressive Change Institute, shows that Americans overwhelmingly agree with progressives like Bernie Sanders on key issues from education and healthcare to the economy which explains Sanders continuing polling strength ~ because he is speaking to main street and not mainstream corporate America.

Like Bernie Sanders, 75 percent of Americans support fair trade that “protects workers, the environment, and jobs.”

71 percent support giving all students access to a debt-free college education.

71 percent support a massive infrastructure spending program aimed at rebuilding our broken roads and bridges and putting people back to work.

70 percent support expanding Social Security.

59 percent support raising taxes on the wealthy so that millionaires pay the same amount in taxes as they did during the Reagan administration.

58 percent support breaking up the big banks.

55 percent support a financial transaction or Robin Hood tax.

51 percent support single payer healthcare, and so and so on.

 

That's an incredible voter base and Sanders is directly tapping into it as did Trudeau in Canada.

Now you can better understand why Bernie Sanders is continuing to gain traction while the mainstream media can't believe it ~ and mainly because they are corporate stooges, like CNN's Toadie Anderson Cooper, who are drinking their own Kool aid and can't believe that their own focus groups and the public forums consistently felt that Sanders won the last Democratic Debate whereas they felt that Clinton was the obvious winner. Sanders is speaking to American's concerns and wishes ~  while Hillary is obviously pandering for their vote.

 

Now watch how far and how rapidly Bernie Sanders has become the front runner in the upcoming Democratic Presidential primaries ~ by telling the truth about our unequal social security system and other concerns while in the process becoming the true voice of the people.

Canada was risen from a long neo-conservative nightmare and it appears the United States is now beginning to realize the very same real possibility with Bernie Sanders.

As Harrison Finzel writes in The State Press ~ " Forget about policy for a minute; there is something more important than tuition-free college or single-payer healthcare that Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is offering the American public: himself. He has rightfully become the channel for the middle class (and, increasingly) lower class American rage at the socio-political-economic establishment that has crushed the American Dream for anybody paying a wink of attention. Like the great George Carlin said, you have to be asleep to believe it. That has never been truer than today."

The Vision Of America

THE VISION OF AMERICA

The vision of America must eventually be in line with the driving force of evolution ~ where mutual cooperation, altruism and service replace manipulation, greed and selfishness and we are once again in sync with our true divine destiny: Allen L Roland

During my monthly national radio show TRUTHTALK on Monday morning March 1st ( www.conscioustalk.net ) with Rob Spears and Brenda Michaels ~ we had an intense conversation on what is really needed to right our badly listing ship of state where virtually no one has confidence in our inexperienced Captain Obama, his staff of burned out Cinton and Bush leftovers and a crew of Congressional leaders who are selling favors to the highest corporate bidders.

Of course, We The People own this ship but we gave up our ownership many years ago when we let fear override that responsibility and the Cheney/Bush administration gutted its internal guidance system by shredding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.This left our morally and fiscally bankrupt ship floundering on open seas and subject to giant swells of growing ridicule, abuse and disenchantment by its true owners ~ We The People.

So Brenda kept insisting we need a deeper vision besides tea parties, social movements and possible third parties and she was absolutely right !

To keep this ship afloat, we must ride the deep driving current of evolution whereas mutual cooperation, altruism and service replace manipulation, greed and selfishness and we are once again in sync with our true divine destiny.

Our task on this planet is to surrender to this same universal urge to unite and play our part in the great coming together of mankind ~ and it begins with each one of us surrendering to love, mutual cooperation and altruism versus hatred, separation and greed.

Richard Leakey wrote in " The beginnings of mankind " that there was very little evidence of violence and aggression in early mankind with considerable evidence of social cooperation and altruism as the deciding factors in evolution.

Scientific American said virtually the same thing in its issue The Arithmetic's of Mutual Help ( June 1995 ) where it shared how computer experiments show how cooperation rather than exploitation can dominate in the Darwinian struggle for survival . The article by Martin Nowak, Robert May and Karl Sigmund seems to reinforce Teilhard's Law of Complexity-Consciousness ~ " Throughout the evolutionary history of life, cooperation among smaller units led to the emergence of more complex structures as, for example, the emergence of multicellular creatures from single-celled organisms. In this sense, cooperation becomes as essential for evolution as is competition."

They conclude by saying ~ " In the course of evolution, there appears to have been ample opportunity for cooperation to have assisted everything from humans to molecules. In a sense, cooperation could be older than life itself. "

And what else could be older than life itself than LOVE, the universal urge to unite ~ or a Unified Field of love and soul consciousness.

It could also be that the whole world is waiting for us to make this correction. That we have indeed become the rogue and out of control nuclear battleship that threatens not only mankind but the delicate equilibrium of the inanimate, vegetative and animate levels of nature and the consciousness of the planet.That the War on terror is actually our own War of terror and that WE are the true International terrorists who are holding up a rapidly approaching global shift in consciousness. When the assassination of individuals, identified as a threat to the security of the United States, are routinely executed in countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Yemen ~ we have set up rules that are directly contradictory to the rules of Nature.

What we also don't realize is that the Earth has its own set of rules. As B.E. Mahall and F.H. Bormann point out in their recent article ( same title ) in the LA Times ~ " Our view of nature is based on our human desire for more, and that economic model is broken."
They correctly point out that our anthropocentric ( regarding human kind as the center of existence ) economic model for interacting with the world " ignores and is proving to be incompatible with Earth's rules, and is therefore on a direct collision course with them ... To achieve a more accurate model of our relation to nature, we need to see ourselves as part of nature, governed by nature (not economics), beholden to nature for ecosystem services and subject to nature's disturbances." http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-mahall2-2010mar02,0,6899831.story

And I maintain that Earth's number one evolutionary rule, as I have pointed out, is mutual cooperation within an interdependent and loving plan.

In summary, we can no longer resist our innate universal urge to unite which is the principle property of the Unified Field. And if we continue to resist this urge to unite, Nature will force us, through natural disasters such as earthquakes, weather catastrophes and climate change to make this leap in spirit, connection and consciousness.

The Vision of America is not in our arms and munitions but in our hearts. The Vision of America is not in our wealth but in our spirit. We can only right our sinking ship of state when we individually and collectively demand nothing less from both ourselves and our leaders. And any political leader understanding, living and carrying this evolutionary banner will lead America and the world to its divine destiny.
