In a shifting sea of lies and a constant undertow of fabrications, a possible path to the truth is the selection of special counsel Robert Mueller ~ who is not only deeply respected by both parties ~ but a needed reminder that there would be no special counsel if Trump had not fired James Comey (allegedly after asking him to end the FBI’s investigation into Michael Flynn) and then confessed that he did so with Russia on his mind. This asks the obvious question as to which alternative universe Donald Trump actually lives ~ which is increasingly seen as a wounded state of bluster and egocentric consciousness while the Trump administration has rapidly lost the presumption of truthfulness: Allen L Roland, PhD

David Horsey, LA Times, shares his perception of the backdrop for this hopefully one act performance ~

"And what a diverse coalition it is: Wealthy golf cart jockeys with warm-weather homes along America’s greenest fairways; high-school-dropout meth dealers in Appalachia; middle-aged white women who appreciate an occasional slap on the butt from their bosses; guys who wear cammo and cowboy hats and stockpile assault rifles in their suburban cul-de-sacs; Internet trolls with Wehrmacht haircuts; people who think “The Apprentice” was a documentary; Gary Busey, Ted Nugent, Sarah Palin and other third-tier celebrities ~ and so many more."

Horsey continues to describe the carnage ~ "These real Americans will completely understand why Trump had to get rid of the FBI chief, or at least they will have a murky notion that Hillary Clinton was involved, so it must have been bad. They will also be instantly swayed by the best line of counterattack from the White House ~ that all the Democrats who are now outraged about the firing were ready to lynch Comey after he bumped Clinton’s campaign into the ditch in the very last days of the 2016 presidential campaign."

But please note the brilliant casting which puts SNL to shame in this Trump produced white House reality theater nightmare ~

"And the standard dose of gratuitous media bashing will confirm for Trump loyalists that only inside-the-Beltway elitists care about any of this. Mike Huckabee’s daughter ~ the sweet-and-sour Trump spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders ~ told the smug vipers in the White House press corps that Comey’s firing should have been no shock; her boss had been ready to dismiss the director back in January. Sure, Trump and his main mouthpiece, Sean Spicer, had expressed complete support for Comey several times in the administration’s first 100 days, but those were mere words. Everyone knows, as Kellyanne Conway has reminded us, that we need to decipher what is in our Dear Leader’s heart."

But, it's now more than obvious to millions of Americans ~ as Horsey points out ~ "no matter how Huckabee’s daughter spins the tale, no one but die-hard Trump lovers believe Kremlin gate did not lead to Comeygate."

It's now more than time to pull the plug on this White House

Apprentice re-run ~ when in reality Donald Trump is the real-life Presidential Apprentice with barely 35% approval rating.

The American people will soon be sending the Trump administration a resounding answer in the 2018 mid-term elections if not before as Robert Mueller completes his search for the truth beneath a constantly shifting minefield of deceptions as well as forcing Donald Trump to take responsibility for his self-serving decisions ~ which include his real-life firing of FBI Director James Comey, as a vivid demonstration of the unfair and obtuse ineptness that is an example of his executive style.

For a more balanced report on the Russian threat watch Paul Fay's interview of  Moscow based journalist Jeffrey Taylor RealNews Network regarding the question of  "Is Russia the Adversary" of the United States?"  See 22 minute video ~

For Trump it's all about power ~ as witness his admiration for dictators and autocrats such as Putin as well as his own abuse of power methods to gain power ~ see Citizen Kane.

Sadly for the president, Robert Mueller is a truly honest special prosecutor which means the investigation that so infuriates Trump will go on … and this just may force Trump's damaged ego to find solace in another round of “campaign” rallies out in the hinterlands ~ or as David Horsey calls "the one place Trump can feel the love of the unquestioning crowd." See Horsey article ~

It is unclear exactly how Mueller’s leadership will affect the direction of the Moeller probe, and he is already bringing in new people to work on the team. Those familiar with the case said its significance had increased before Mueller’s appointment so his action will soon give us valuable clues and set the stage for our Republic's future.

Watch for the subpoenas ~ for when subpoenas are issued or interviews are requested, it is possible the people being asked to talk or provide documents will reveal publicly what they were asked about.
